SUSPECTS FOR FALSIFICATION OF RT- PCR SWAB RESULTS AND IATF TRAVEL AUTHORITY NABBED IN MANILA

 

The Chief of the National Capital Region Police Office, PMGEN VICENTE D DANAO JR lauds the joint efforts of the operatives for the successful entrapment operation that resulted in the arrest of six (6) individuals for falsification of RT-PCR Test Results and IATF Travel Authority on April 7, 2021 at about 3:00 P.M. inside Yang General Merchandise Shop located at No. 331 Bautista St., Brgy 383, Zone 39, Quiapo, Manila.

Records show that the suspects were identified as: Jehan L Cota, Jalilah G Usman,  Ahliyah G Hadjijamil, Marie R Ancia, Samanoden A Ompia and Jhiad G Hadjijamil.

The operation stemmed from a tip of a Regular Confidential Informant (RCI) regarding a certain establishment under the business name “Yang General Merchandise”, which allegedly manufactures and sells COVID-19 Swab Test Result RT-PCR (reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction) Test Result using the standard laboratory result form of Red Cross and IATF Travel Authority issued by the PNP, at the said place.

Such malicious scheme was investigated, monitored and verified by the operatives. Upon finding the information to be meritable, an entrapment operation was ensued against the six suspects.

Investigation disclosed that the operatives of District Intelligence Division, together with Regional Intelligence Division, District Special Operation Unit, Counter-Terrorism Division-Intelligence Group, District Mobile Force Battalion, Regional Mobile Force Battalion and Business Permit and Licensing Office- Manila conducted an entrapment operation that resulted to the arrest of the suspects.

Recovered from the suspects were:

a.) 6 pcs. Powder Dusted Genuine Five Hundred Peso bill (utilized as marked money) Cash money amounting to Ninety Three Thousand and Three-Hundred Ten Pesos (Php 93, 310)

b.) Two (2) pieces of Computer Monitor

c.)  Two (2) pieces of CPU

d.) Two (2) pieces of Computer Mouse

e.) Four (4) pieces of Cellphone

f.)  One (1) piece Computer Printer

g.) Assorted Documents of Red Cross COVID-19 Swab Test Result RT-PCR; and

h.) IATF Travel Authority issued by the PNP

The arrested suspects were immediately apprised of their constitutional rights in a language known and understood by them (Tagalog) and were brought to DSOU Office along with the confiscated pieces of evidence for investigation and proper disposition.

Criminal complaints for the crime under Article 172 (Falsification by Private Individuals and Use of Falsified Documents);  Article 176 (Manufacturing and Possession of Instruments or Implements for Falsification) of The Revised Penal Code of the Philippines;    R.A 11332 Section 9 Para D (Non-cooperation of persons and entities that should report and/or respond to notifiable disease);    Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 and other possible violation committed under the RPC are being prepared for filing before the Manila City Prosecutors Office.

PMGEN DANAO warned the public not resort to unlawful means that will violate the standard health protocol and might bring risk to their health and health of their family. He also encouraged the public to report the crooks who take undue advantage of the current crisis for personal gain.

“Nakakadismaya na ang kaligtasan ng nakakarami ay naisasa-alang alang dahil sa mga ganitong illegal at pansariling gawain. Nananawagan kami sa ating mga kababayan na huwag tangkilikin ang mga ganitong pamemeke , sumunod sa itinakdang protokols at huwag magdalawang isip na magreport sa kapulisan kung may mapag alaman na katulad na modus,” said PMGEN DANAO.###
