The National Capital Region Police Office under the leadership of PMGEN FELIPE R NATIVAD joins the Simultaneous Multi-Agency Send off Ceremony of Security Forces for the National and Local Elections 2022 conducted at about 8:00 am of May 4, 2022 at the Camp BGen Rafael T Crame , Quezon City.

Among the forces deployed are Department of Education- NCR (DepEd-NCR), Philippine Coast Guard-NCR (PCG_NCR), Joint Task-Force – NCR (JTF-NCR), Comission on Elections (Comelec), and Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).

For National Capital Region Police Office, the ceremony was conducted at NCRPO Grandstand, Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City wherein total of 1,083 forces were sent off including the Special Action Force (SAF), Presidential PNP Security Force Unit (PPFSU), Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB), Explosive Ordnance Disposal, Regional Highway Patrol Unit- NCR, Regional Maritime Unit (RMU). For the whole duration of election period, a total of 24, 322 were already deployed.

On the other hand, 2,322 from BFP-NCR; 262 PCG-NCR; and 533 from JTF-NCR were sent off for National and Local Elections 2022.

In the quest for the attainment of a safe, secured accurate, free/ fair elections 2022, different security forces are united as one for this historic event.

Assistant Regional Election Director – Atty Jovencio G Balaquit lamented that they usually start the preparation of the elections through the registration of voters, coming up with list of voters, then, receiving the certificates of candidacies and the list of party list. However, as they go through the next cycle of preparation, Comelec alone cannot do the task, thus needs the deputies like the police soldiers and other units.

“Let us always act about suspicions of all types , let us avoid and directly or indirectly engaging in any partisan pollical activity. Let us faithfully administer our duties in our respective assignments. For our PNP, Philippine Coastguards, JTF NCR and all units around, let us make our voting centers a secure environment for our volunteer, our coworkers especially our voters,” said Atty Balaquit.

Meanwhile, Chief PNP, PGEN DIONARDO B CARLOS in his speech, emphasized that the PNP planned ahead took all consideration for any contingency and that they will be present to perform duties and responsibilities before during and after the elections.

“We will stand strong, we will finish strong and we will perform professionally for peaceful elections. The 225,000 strong men and women of the Philippine National Police is with the Comelec to make sure that we guard the votes of our Filipino nation. That is a commitment. And to the Filipino people, your PNP will be there in all polling centers and polling precincts to make sure that your votes will be counted,” he concluded”

PMGEN FELIPE R NATIVIDAD in his message expressed his deepest appreciation for their service on this noble endeavor. “Another history will be created in no time and you are all part of it. The success of the election day is not only for us but for the members of our society who rely their safety and security with us. Let us give our best and let us not squander the trust and confidence they bestowed us. Draw your courage and determination to hit the ground running. Integrity and efficiency will be your trademarks on this,” he said.
