4. Covid-19 NCRPO ECQ/MECQ Awareness Campaign

General Danao has led on the ground distribution efforts as part of his campaign to reach out to the less fortunate communities. “Our primary mandate as law enforcers is to ensure the safety and security of our people. But the NCRPO extends this to help impoverished sectors that are often underserved.”, Danao said.

In a recent event, the NCRPO Chief emphasized that it is also through the sacrifice of policemen that they are able to extend much needed assistance. “Alam namin ang hirap na inyong pinagdadaanan ngayong panahon ng pandemya kung kaya’t narito ang buong pwersa ng kapulisan upang kayo ay matulungan sa ano mang paraan na aming makakayanan. Ang mga ayudang aming ipinamamahagi ay mula sa mga pinagbuklud buklud na sahod ng boluntaryong ibinahagi ng kapulisan ng Team NCRPO at mga galing sa mga taong may mabubuting kalooban na patuloy na nagbibigay ng tulong at donasyon. In its endeavour for lasting peace and solidarity, the National Capital Region Police Office has been reaching out and lending a hand to Muslim Communities. Today, Chief PNP, PGEN DEBOLD M SINAS, together with the Regional Director of NCRPO, PMGEN VICENTE D DANAO JR, spearheaded the Simultaneous Ramadhan Distribution of Sadaqah  with muslim community as part of Ramadhan Celebration 2021 at Covered Court, Salaam Community, Brgy. Culiat, Tandang Sora, Quezon City.

  3. Caloocan City which aims to aid with needs of the residents amid the health crisis that plague the world.


A total of 8,000 food packs, health kits and other goods were distributed properly and systematically to all the Muslim brothers and sisters regionwide.


Said food packs were given to the beneficiaries through house to house distribution wherein a chair was placed infront of their houses.  Likewise, each area were personally supervised by officers of NCRPO in coordination with Barangay Officials and   muslim leaders of different tribes.


To ensure strict observance of existing health protocols, police officers manned the areas and assured proper wearing of facemasks, faceshields and maintenance of social distancing at all times.


To this end, Muslim leaders expressed their gratitude to NCRPO for their unending support to the Muslim Communities. In return, they committed to support programs and projects against criminality, terrorism, illegal drugs, among others to sustain the peace and order in the country.


In his message, PGEN SINAS emphasized that the distribution of relief goods has become a tradition under his stint which started when he was in PRO7. On behalf of the Team PNP, NCRPO, QCPD, and other supporters, CPNP extended his gratitude for all the help that the residents rendered and cooperation they showed. “Nagpapasalamat tayo sa lahat, kay Allah, sa Diyos. Sa huli tayo ay mag vault in para po sa ikakaunlad ng bayan natin,” he concluded.


Meanwhile,  PMGEN DANAO expressed his aspiration that all Filipinos of diverse beliefs be united in quest for a lasting peace and order in the community, ensure public safety, equality and progress under a firm conviction to One Almighty God. He also acknowledged the efforts and cooperation shown by Brgy. Culiat during the activity.

NCRPO Kicks-off Simultaneous Relief Operation to Celebrate Ramadhan 2021


The National Capital Region under the helm of its current Chief, PMGEN VICENTE D DANAO JR kicks off a Metrowide relief and gift giving operation together with its five police districts to support the celebration of Ramadhan 2021.


Ramadhan for our Muslim brothers is a holy month of fasting. It is a time dedicated for spiritual reflection, self-improvement, heightened devotion, prayer and worship. During this time, they abstain not only from food and drink, but also from tobacco products, sexual relations, and sinful behaviors devoting themselves instead to prayer and recitation of the Quran.


Recognizing the indispensable role of our Muslim brothers to the success of our peace and order endeavors, NCRPO partakes in this holy celebration by sharing more than 8000 food packs, health kits and other goods aimed towards helping our Muslim brothers with their needs amid the growing number of families affected by the global health crisis.


Indeed, the beauty of the world lies in the diversity of its people and today, NCRPO takes the lead in embracing the differences and empowering unity and positive relationship with our Muslim brothers.


During the activity, to ensure the safety of those who will participate, strict observance of existing health protocol shall be observed.

Moreover, the distribution shall be done per area and house wherein a chair is place infront of the house of each beneficiary.  Likewise, each area shall be manned and personally to be supervised by officers of NCRPO and the Quezon City Police District (QCPD), respectively.

Amid the pandemic, it is necessary that police officers should also have a basic knowledge in firefighting and fire safety since it is one of the most common incident that may occur anytime. In relation to this, the National Capital Region Police Office under the direction of PMGEN VICENTE D DANAO JR. through PCOL LAMBERT D SUERTE, Force Commander, Regional Mobile Force Battalion NCRPO conducted Basic Fire Fighting and Fire Safety Awareness Seminar/Training on April 15, 2021 at around 8:00 AM at Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City.

The said training was participated by 5th Mobile Force Company, RMFB personnel and Mr. Lestie De Leon, volunteer instructor from Trinity Volunteer Fire Department headed the said training. Mr. De Leon imparted his knowledge about the necessary skills to quickly and correctly bring fires under control and putting the fires out.

Likewise, after the seminar and demonstration, the participants were able to experience the practical exercises using firefighting equipment during drill which is designed to instill competence among them.

This seminar aims to raise awareness of fire hazards in the workplace and how to act safely in the event of a fire or similar emergency. Most importantly the correct usage of fire extinguisher.

And in observance with the health protocols, minimum health standard was observed like wearing of face mask and physical distancing.

PMGEN DANAO acknowledge the initiative of Regional Mobile Force Battalion in conducting such training as it is necessary to equip the personnel with all the information that they need whenever the public needs them.

The MOU was signed via zoom teleconference in the presence of PBGEN PBGEN Benjamin C Acorda, Deputy Regional Director for Operations, Ms Grace Vera Cruz and Mr Ralph Joseph Y. Cabaluna, Country Marketing Head Grab Phils.
As part of the MOU’s objectives, both parties shall conduct activities that will further promote and enhance the friendly relations, cooperation, mutual respect and benefit protection of its respective personnel and activities that will serve as measures to counter criminality and terrorism.
Likewise, both parties also commits to share their respective best practices in detecting indicators of criminality and terrorism particularly the sustainable programs existing in both parties as well as grab commits to support the PNP’s Flagship Programs by extending reasonable operational and administrative assistance to NCRPO as the need arises.

The highlight of the activity was the reading of Peace Covenant delivered by PBGEN BENJAMIN C ACORDA JR and the Signing of Peace Covenant between the National Capital Region Police Office led by PBGEN ANTONIO C YARRA together with Hon. Jose Christopher “Kit” Belmonte, Congressman, District 6, Quezon City; Hon. Victor “Vic” Bernardo, Barangay Chairman of Brgy. Culiat, Quezon City; Hon. Dario Orencia, Barangay Chairman of New Era; Hon Emmanuel  “BANJO” Pilar, Barangay Chairman of Pasong Tamo represented by Ex-O Nestor Del Rosario. The parties agreed to undertake and give their full support in all its programs and projects against criminality and terrorism and agreed to foster partnership and cooperation to attain peace and security. Further, the Muslim Brothers and Sisters pledged to denunciate all forms of evil acts, violence and killings. To be held accountable with all the actions taken and give full support to NCRPO and Philippine National Police as whole.

Likewise, selected Muslim leaders namely: Mr. Alvinzon Zingcon, Representative, Quezon City Muslim Consultative Council; Mr. Abdulkarim H. Imbrahim Jr, Shari’ah Counselor; PCMS Hassan Jaafar Adi, President, Tribal Leaders on  Peace and Order; PCMS Ahadol Salarami (Ret.), Chairman, Tribal Leaders Association Inc; Imam Rene Dawabi, Imam of Grand Mosque Salam Community, Maguindanao Tribe; and Sultan Haji Nur Hassan Abubakar, Chairman, Salam Compound have assured their willingness to cooperate and to fully support the plans and programs of the PNP for the Muslim community to achieve a safer and peaceful community and unite for a common vision towards a safer and more progressive Metro Manila.

To further add color, meaning and significance to the activity, the participants joined in the lighting of candles and the release of doves as a symbolic gesture of peace, to symbolize the union of the two organizations.

The activity also coincided with the reinvigorated community awareness and poverty alleviation efforts of Team NCRPO in support to the Government’s efforts in advancing Anti-Terrorism,  ELCAC; PAIDS; Anti-Criminality; and COVID-19 Prevention and Mitigation programs through the Enhanced NCRPO Project Info C.A.R.E. wherein reiterated to them the strict observance of minimum health standards and protocols against Covid19. They were also taught about the elements of crime and encouraged them to report crimes, erring PNP members or any concerns to NCRPO text hotline numbers Isumbong Kay RD NCRPO O915-888-9181 and 0999-901-8181.

The activity successfully concluded with a total of 110 families served and provided with lectures, IEC materials, gift packs and health kits. The IATF Minimum Health Standards were enforced and observed strictly throughout the event by designated Health Protocol Marshalls from NCRPO and QCPD  with no untoward incidents recorded.

COMMAND VISIT – “Policemen should lead by example- and more so if you are the Commander.” Following the half day activity at Barangay Culiat, Quezon City, PMGEN VICENTE D DANAO JR., ably represented by PBGEN YARRA, Deputy Regional Director for Administration (DRDA) with PBGEN BENJAMIN C ACORDA JR, Deputy Regional Director for Operations along with the Chiefs of the Regional Staff and Support Units, NCRPO paid a Command Visit in Quezon City Police District (QCPD).

The second  and third man of NCRPO was accorded with an Arrival Honors and warmly welcome by the officers and men of QCPD. He also graced the blessing of the newly refurbished façade of QCPD Headquarters and installed led wall TV. 

Thereafter, a short program ensued at the QCPD Grandstand. Like other Police Districts, personnel who have done exemplary performances were rewarded  for a job well done and  to boost the morale of  the personnel, the NCRPO also arranged a raffle good for 50 persons followed by the talked to the men and women of QCPD. DRDA, reminded them about Oplan LITIS of RD DANAO and for them to always adhere to rules and be and ERA of change in the organization. Be an Example to others; Responsible in everything they do and be Accountable in every actions.

DESTRUCTION OF VIDEO KARERA MACHINE– Part of the lined-up activities is the destruction of Video Karera Machines confiscated through the concerted efforts of the different Police Stations and Operating Units of Quezon City Police District led by PBGEN YARRA and accompied by PBGEN BENJAMIN C ACORDA JR., DRDO, NCRPO.

SURPRISE DRUG TEST– To assure that no iota of doubt on the persons of the officers and men of QCPD especially those who are assigned with the drug units for the public to believe what the government is doing and that the PNP is dead serious on its campaign of illegal drugs, a surprised drug test was conducted during the command conference to all the attendees.

COMMAND CONFERENCE – As the final agenda for the day, a Command Conference with DRDA, PBGEN YARRA proceeded along with PBGEN ACORDA, DRDO, Chief of Regional Staffs attended by QCPD Command Group, Chiefs of the District Directorial Staff, Station Commanders and Support Units,

During the conference, PBGEN DANILO P MACERIN, District Director, QCPD presented the 100 days accomplishment of RD DANAO since he assumed his post in Regional Headquarters. Selected Station Commanders were also made to present their respective notable operational accomplishments. An exchange of ideas and insights for and among the commanders for them to further improve.

Dialogue and Signing of Peace Covenant with the Muslim Leaders in Caloocan City

PCOL SAMUEL MINA, Chief of Police, Caloocan CPS; PLTCOL PCOL JULIUS CALIMA SURIBEN, Chief, RCADD led the Dialogue and Signing of Peace Covenant with the Muslim Leaders, Team PNP NCRPO, Kaagapay Ko and Info C.A.R.E. sa Barangay Program in Caloocan City held at Glorieta Park, Barangay 188, Tala, North, Caloocan City on February 17, 2021.

The said event focused on the support and commitment of the Muslim Community for a sustainable peace and order between the two organizations. The Muslim Brothers and Sisters promised to denounce any form of evil acts, violence and killings. To be held accountable to their area of responsibility.

In his speech PMGEN DANAO expressed his appreciation to the Muslim Community for accepting the agreement to promote peace and order between NCRPO.

The National Capital Region Police Office invigorated their program of reaching out to the identified depressed areas of the five Police District within the NCR.

Today, January 28, 2021, the Team NCRPO led by PMGEN DANAO spearheaded the Serbisyong TAMA Caravan sa Barangays at Brgy. Addition Hills, Mandaluyong City , Caymito St., Barangay Hall, Brgy Kalawaan, Brgy Rosario, and Bragy Manggahan, Pasig City from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

“Serbisyong Tama Caravan sa Barangays” is the community outreach program and series of lectures on Coronavirus Awareness Response and Empowerment, anti criminality, illegal drugs, terrorism/ELCAC , corruption , among others. The selfless initiative started on November 2020 upon the assumption to duty of the current Regional Director, PMGEN VICENTE D DANAO JR.

In order to live up with the demands of the challenges during these extraordinary times, NCRPO stood up and and went beyond their mandate to boost the morale of the citizenry in the suburban society through alleviating the sustenance of basic food supply for the beneficiaries.

Being the father of NCRPO, PBGEN VICENTE D DANAO JR has been maximizing his time to serve the region, his men and the people in the communities.

On December 17, 2020, Acting Chief of the NCRPO, PBGEN DANAO spearheaded the conduct of Team PNP “Kaagapay Ko” Tapat, May Tapang at Malasakit para sa Mamamayan on at the different cities of Southern Police District.

The program includes the Coronavirus Awareness Response and Empowerment (C.A.R.E) Information Drive which aims to disseminate Covid 19’s origin, symptoms, complications, mode of transmission, prevention and other health related topics.

Moreover, lecture on crime situation of respective barangay concerned, crime prevention safety tips, lecture on illegal drugs and KKDAT/ ELCAC were also tackled to maximize information dissemination to the public. Likewise, distributed Good News publication.

As one of the highlights, ARD DANAO personally distributed health packs and food packs to all the participants. “Ito po ay pinagsama samang tulong mula sa mga miyembro ng Team NCRPO na inilaan namin upang kahit papaano ay makatulong sa inyong pangngailangan,” said PBGEN DANAO.

Thereafter, he paid courtesy to the Mayor of Muntinlupa City, Hon. Jaime Fresnedi. Matters of mutual concerns were discussed and the local government promised all out assistance to the endeavors of NCRPO that will benefit their fellowmen.

On the same day, he also paid courtesy to the local Government of Pasay City wherein Hon. Imelda “Emi” Calixto-Rubiano warmly  welcomed him. During the meeting, PBGEN DANAO guaranteed safety and security in the City through maximum police visibility from the local police.

Wasting no time, he also took the opportunity to inspect the posts of policemen within the areas of Pasay and Muntinlupa. He reminded his men to genuinely perform their responsibilities with or without supervision. The Regional Director, PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS lauded the successful conduct of the C.A.R.E infodemic drive in Metro Manila from September 22 to October 24, 2020.

Rolling in its 5th week, the program designed to instill DOH protocols and other necessary information on Covid-19 already recorded the conduct of over 340 activities in 261 different barangays within Metro Manila reaching a total of 11,003 participants with health kits, 10,322 among them are beneficiaries of food packs.
