REGIONWIDE MUSLIM LEADERS SUMMIT FOR PEACE, UNITY AND SOLIDARITY IN OBSERVANCE OF EID AL-ADHA

The National Capital Region Police Office under the helm of PMGEN VICENTE D DANAO JR partakes in the Region-wide Muslim Leaders Summit for Peace, Unity and Solidarity together with the Chief, Philippine National Police, PGEN GUILLERMO LORENZO T ELEAZAR as the Guest of Honor and Speaker this 21st day of July, 2021 at QCPD Hinirang Social Hall, Camp Karingal, Quezon City.

The activity was done in
in Observance of Eid al-Adha (Peace of the Sacrifice) coinciding with the 3rd week celebration of the 26th Police Community Relations Month with a theme:” Pulisya at Pamayanan, BARANGAYanihan sa Hamon ng Pandemya at Laban sa Krimen”.

The event was attended to by 100 Muslim Community Top Leaders of NCR who swore and signed the peace covenant. Moreover, top personalities from the PNP Rank and other distinguished guest such as the Former Acting RD, NCMF, NCR Mr. Abubakar L Sansaluna, Mr. Alvinsor F Singgon from Quezon City Bangsamoro Affairs Service, the Executive Officer, Quezon City Bangsamoro Affairs Service, Gen. Hadji Jaimeel Jaymalin (Ret), the Adviser and Consultant of Salaam Tribal Leaders, Mr. Ustadz Yunus Abdulmuin and the Commissioner of the National Commission on Muslim/Filipinos Chairman, Muslim Consultative Council, Mr. Yusop Janang Mando.

It aims to promote peace and collaboration between the PNP and Muslim Communities in Metro Manila and to strengthen their partnership in the maintenance of peace and order and in the fight against all forms of criminality, illegal drugs and terrorism.

The Chief PNP, PGEN GUILLERMO LORENZO T ELEAZAR communicated his appreciation to the indispensable share of the Muslim Community in the PNP’s peace and order endeavor.

“Your support is very important to us to achieve lasting peace. Lahat ng mga mensahe ngayong araw pertains to unity ang collaboration. Unity in diversity. Magkakaiba man ang ating paniniwala, lahat ito ay pinagbubuklod ng ating advocacy na dapat tayo ay mag tulong tulong. This celebration of sacrifice, obedience, respect and full trust and confidence to our almighty, our creator, our Allah kung saan ibinibigay natin ang lahat ng walang pasubali ang ating sarili pati na rin ang ating buhay.” Said PGEN ELEAZAR

Through the years, PNP endeavored to strengthen its commitment and partnership with its muslim brothers in order to promote lasting peace in the community with high regard and respect to different culture, beliefs, ideology and religion.

“Ang dami na nating pinagdaanan. Lalo na sa ating sitwasyon sa ngayon. Ang akin lang pong panalangin at kahilingan ay ang inyong patuloy na suporta even in this imperfect situation that we have. Huwag po tayong mawawalan ng pag-asa. Laging iisipin natin yung ating mga pinagsamahan at ang ating pagtutulungan tungo sa ikagaganda ng ating peace and order na magiging dahilan para po magkaroon kayo ng kapanatagan sa inyong trabaho, sa inyong pamumuhay at sa buong Pilipinas.” He added.

On the part of our Muslim brothers, they thanked the PNP under the leadership of GEN ELEAZAR and have pledged their commitment and full support to the PNP in all its plans and programs in combatting criminality, illegal drugs, terrorism and the covid 19 that continuously plaque the country. They also assured that they will polish their own ranks and even encouraged their fellow Muslim brothers to actively involved themselves in any activities that the PNP and the barangays may undertake for the betterment of all.

Lastly, before the activity finally ended, PMGEN DANAO led GEN ELEAZAR in the distribution of Sadaqah to all the Muslim Leaders who have attended the activity together with PMGEN RODEL O SERMONIA, TDPCR, PBGEN ANTONIO C YARRA, DD, QCPD; PBGEN BENJAMIN C ACORDA, DRDA; PBGEN JON A ARNALDO, DRDO; PCOL MADZGANI MUKARAM, Chief, Salaam Police Center, DPCR and PCOL JULIUS SURIBEN, Chief, RCADD.
