RD DANAO LEADS THE RETOOLED COMMUNITY SUPPORT PROGRAM COORDINATING MEETING

“I am overwhelmed with our progress and with the accomplishments presented earlier pertaining to our endeavor to support the government in its fight against insurgency and terrorism in the country.” PMGEN Vicente D Danao Jr. stated during the Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) Coordinating Meeting with the NCRPO RCSP Team leaders and JTF- NCR held on July 6, 2021 at the NCRPO Hinirang Multi-Purpose Hall, Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan Taguig City.

The RCSP aims to address the identified issues of the community by closing the governance and development gaps, providing the community their needs, and ensuring that the development is sustained and peace is promoted by using the “Whole-of-Nation Approach” as indicated under Executive Order 70.

With the “whole-of-nation” approach to end local communist armed conflict (ELCAC), the National Capital Region is gaining ground through the support of the communities for peace and development and more former CTGs and CTGFOs are turning their back to the communist ideals to become active members of society.

PMGEN Danao, stated that the RCSP is to ensure sustainability of the initiatives and to guarantee that the problem on insurgency once addressed, will no longer recur due to the same factor such as poverty and alleged lack of government support. Thus, the NCRPO will continue to initiate more programs and projects in support to this endeavor.

“These issues has been utilized by leftist groups to support their wrongdoings and lure innocent people especially the youth to join them and go against the government. It is high time that we put an end to this and intensify community partnership so never again will they feel the absence of the government that is more than willing to support and work with them towards a safer and more progressive community. ”PMGEN DANAO added.

The NCRPO RCSP Teams were first deployed on June 5, 2021 to the 19 identified barangays in the Metro in tandem with the JTF-NCR.  All the activities plans and programs being undertaken by the teams on the ground were fully supported by  RD DANAO that includes the meal provisions of the deployed personnel.###
