PMGEN DANAO Inspected Quarantine Facilities and Malls

“This is already our new normal. Kahit saan man tayo magpunta, face mask is a must”

– PMGEN Vicente D Danao Jr, Chief, National Capital Region Police Office reminded the public during his personal visit to the hotel quarantine, quarantine facilities and shopping malls around Metro Manila amidst the restrictions brought about by Covid 19 pandemic and issues of breaching mandatory quarantine, Yesterday, December 6,2021.

PMGEN DANAO JR along with personnel from Philippine Coast Guard inspected whether personnel are sufficient to properly man the areas and are capable to respond to calls for assistance.

According to him, there are a total of 120 quarantine facilities all over the region and 97 of this are from Makati City, thus, an augmentation from District Mobile Force Battalion and Regional Standby Force along with Philippine Coast guard was immediately activated to further implement health and safety protocols within the area. PMGEN DANAO also affirmed that each facility will be manned by four uniformed personnel.

Meanwhile, he also inspected Quiapo Church and Mall of Asia,Megamall and Tutuban Mall in Manila in order to check mall goers’ strict adherence to health and safety protocols including the presentation of vaccine cards upon entry.

With the upsurge of covid 19 cases in the country, RD DANAO called for the cooperation of everyone in order surpass the challenge of Omicron variant.

“Iyan po ang lagi nating pakiusap, sana po, sa ating mga kababayan, makicooperate naman po tayo. Sa totoo lang ayaw namin ng gawin ito, ang maghigpit ng ganito ,pero we are force to do so due to the circumstances that is existing.” said PMGEN DANAO JR.###
