PARAÑAQUE POLICE SEIZED MORE THAN 1.1M WORTH OF SHABU, APPREHENDED 3 SUSPECTS IN A DRUG STING

Conforming to the conduct of Metro-wide Simultaneous Enhanced Managing Police Operations, PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS, Regional Director, National Capital Region Police Office commends the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of Parañaque City Police Station, Southern Police District for the seizure of more than 1.1M worth of suspected shabu and apprehension of three suspects in a drug sting in Parañaque City.

Investigation disclosed that the operation stemmed from a report provided by a confidential informant. After confirmation of the report and monitoring of the whereabouts and illegal activities of the suspects, a buy-bust operation was plotted in coordination with PDEA agents. An undercover operative posed as poseur buyer and at a pre-arranged signal, the suspects were arrested.

Arrested suspects were identified as; Dima Sayaat y Minalang also known as “Penda”, 28 years old, construction worker; Sabrin Polindao y Maulana, 32 years old and Richard Buenvenida y Bien, 39 years old, businessman. All suspects are residents of Barangay San Dionisio, Parañaque City.

Seized evidence under the possession and control of the suspects were eleven (11) pieces of heat sealed transparent sachets with crystalline substance suspected to be shabu. Suspected illegal drugs has an aggregate estimated weight of more or less 170 grams with DDB value amounting to PHP 1,156,000.

Suspects are currently detained at the Parañaque City Custodial Facility while the confiscated illegal drugs were turned over to SPD Crime Laboratory for chemical analysis pending the filing of charges in violation of Section 5 & 11 of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) against the suspects.
