P.R.O.T.E.C.T. PROGRAM FOR MALABON CVOS AND TANODS CONCLUDES

Acknowledging the role of the community in peacekeeping, the National Capital Region Police Office under the stern leadership of PMGEN VICENTE D DANAO JR through PBGEN JOSE S HIDALGO JR, District Director, NPD concluded the 2- day Patrolling and Response Operations Training to Empower CVO’s and Tanod (P.R.O.T.E.C.T.) on July 22, 2021 at Catmon Covered Court, Malabon City.

The closing ceremony was attended by PCOL LYNDON MENCIO, DDDA, PCOL MILO B PAGTALUNAN, DDDO, PCOL BARCELO DAYAG, CDDS together with PCOL ALBERT TURCO BAROT, COP, Malabon City; PCOL CLAIRE B CUDAL, Chief, DCADD; PLTCOL JENNY DC TECSON, Chief, PIS-RCADD/RPIO, Hon. Antolin A. Oreta III, Mayor represented by Councilor Enzo Oreta and Hon. Maria Lourdes Angelika de la Cruz Casareo, Brgy. Chairwoman, Brgy Longos, Malabon.

The attendees were warmly welcomed by Hon. Brian L Manapat who also acknowledged the role of the NCRPO in maintaining the peace and order of the different barangays of Malabon City.

Similarly, Hon Angelika de la Cruz Casareo conveyed her sincerest thanks to the RD DANAO for initiating the seminar and training for their barangays.

As part of the module, the Search and Rescue operation was introduced to the participants. This is in preparation for any untoward incidents caused by the disasters, calamities or any tragedy. With the acquired acknowledge and skills, they are expected to save their neighbors and their fellowmen as whole.

The Training on P.R.O.T.E.C.T aims to educate the force multipliers to equip themselves with the proper knowledge and skills regarding fundamentals or basic techniques and procedures on citizen’s arrest, arrest, search and seizure, patrol operations, first responders and crime scene prevention. Through this training, they developed confidence as they work hand in hand with their counterparts to whom they share the same mission.

A total of 246 Brgy Tanods, CVO’s and unified force multipliers of Malabon City were declared graduates after successfully completing the training.

Thereafter, an Oath Taking and Signing of Manifesto of Support were conducted in which they pledged to adhere and cooperate with NCRPO’s endeavor towards a safe and secure region.

Councilor Enzo Oreta on his message gave emphasis on the importance of unity towards surmounting the challenges of life. “Basta tayo ay sama-sama, tulong-tulong, kaya nating ituloy ang pag asenso ng bawat pamilyang Malabonian,” he stated.

During his speech, PBGEN JOSE S HIDALGO JR, District Director, NPD on behalf of Regional Director assured 100% support of their local police to the barangay tanods and force multipliers in implementing the laws. He further lamented that real public servant need not to be with high education, high position or even with money. “Ang importante lamang po ay alam natin ang ginagawa natin, at hindi tayo humihigit sa dapat nating gampanan sa paglilingkod sa ating nasasakupan,” he said.

PMGEN DANAO has been consistent in reaching out to the community and recognizing their contribution to the success of NCRPO’s fight against illegal drugs, terrorism, corruption, and all forms of criminality. As expected, similar trainings and seminars will continue to roll in the different barangays of Metro Manila for the benefit of its residents.###
