NCRPO- PMGEN VICENTE D DANAO JR is taking all steps to serve the residents of Metro Manila.
Known for his NCRPO Serbisyong TAMA Caravan sa Barangay, RD DANAO reached out to the vulnerable sectors of the community region wide with a total of 413, 807 beneficiaries from March 31- June 3, 2021.
These beneficiaries include the urban poor, TODA/JODA, illegal settlers, Muslim Community, Brgy Tanods and KKDATs who were under the 33,577 barangays covered by the program.
On the same period, a total of 260,630 health kits, 237,565 food packs ; 43,400 medicines, 866,701 bibles, books and school supplies and 280,060 cash assistance were given to the poorest of the poor to alleviate poverty and/or sustain their needs during this time of pandemic. On the same manner, 248,458 cooked food were served such as lugaw/sopas were also distributed.
For Community Mobilization, NCRPO utilized and mobilized a total of 106,331 Non Government Organizations/ Civilian Volunteer Organization thru Joint activities. There were 25,745 police officers who participated in relief distribution while 38,311 participated in Quarantine Control Points and checkpoints to ensure that community protocols were observed.
With an additional force of 35,913 Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams, 116,346 Civilian Volunteer Organization members, 138, 228 Barangay Tanods and 69,705 members of the KKDAT/SK, NCRPO was able to accomplish different activities and realized different programs for the benefit of Metro Manila residents.
To effectively relay Covid 19 information to the community, NCRPO distributed a total of 1,840,106 IEC Materials and concluded 63,724 Oplan Bandillo reaching 4,834,641 members of the society. There were also 14, 528 tarpaulins and billboards posted along with 366 radio interviews and 297 television interviews.
Being a platform where everyone is reachable, NCRPO maximized Covid 19 awareness through Social Media wherein 109,680 info graphics and videos were posted garnering 558, 176 likes, 200, 662 positive reactions , 151,723 shares and 76,574 comments.
Then, the free ride program or the “Libreng Sakay”of NCRPO has been helping multitudes of commuters in NCR. Covering different routes in the Metro from March 31, 2021to June 3, 2021, there were 10,864 trucks and patrol cars dispatched to assist authorized persons outside residence and 23,887 deployed Metro Cops to implement the said program. With a total of 32,468 trips conducted, NCRPO units were able to assist 156,924 passengers regionwide.
While commuters were on board 67,553 mineral water and 194,498 facemasks and faceshields were provided for them while 533, 980 139,612 IEC materials were distributed.
PMGEN Danao during his talk to the members of the community, gives emphasis to camaraderie between community and police in order to surpass the challenges of the current time. He also assures that the Team will continuously lend their hands to whatever they can do and whenever they are needed.
