NCRPO’s REGIONAL LEVEL MOST WANTED PERSON FOR 2ND QTR 2021, AND LEADER OF DUMAG CARNAPPING GROUP, ARRESTED IN CAVITE

In line with the intensified campaign of NCRPO under the leadership of its Regional Director, PMGEN VICENTE D DANAO JR to hunt down wanted persons and bring them before the court, elements of RSOG-RID, NCRPO led by PMAJ MAYNARD D PASCUAL under the direct supervision of PLTCOL MELVIN R MONTANTE Chief, RSOG arrested the Leader of Dumag Carnapping Group who was listed as one of NCRPO’s Regional Level Most Wanted Person at around 4:50PM of April 21, 2021, along Salvia Street, Somerset 5, Lancaster Subdivision, General Trias City, Cavite.

The accused who was identified as MAY BARCELONA y VIERTE @ Bing, 47, years old, single, businesswoman and a resident of Block 8,Lot 8, Peanut St., Somerset 5,Lancaster Subdivision, Brgy. Navarro,General Trias City,Cavite, was wanted pursuant to two Warrants of Arrest issued against her. One was dated February 11,2019 issued by Hon. Luisito G. Corpuz,RTC,Branch 84,Quezon City with CC No. 18-06337 and another one dated April 5,2017 issued by Hon. Amelia A. Fabros-Corpuz, RTC,Branch 205,Muntinlupa City with CC No. 17-286 both for Violation of RA 10883 otherwise known as the New Anti-Carnapping Law of 2016 with bail recommendations amounting to One Hundred Eighty Thousand(P180,000.00) and Two Hundred Thousand (P200,000.00) pesos respectively.

She was informed of the nature of her arrest and was apprised of her constitutional rights before she was taken to the Custodial Facility of the Regional Special Operations Group (RSOG) pending the issuance of a commitment order and return of the warrant to the issuing court.

“We will not stop invigorating our effort towards a safer Metro Manila for all by making sure that the community is free not just from all forms of criminality, illegal drugs and terrorism but also from wanted persons by hunting them down and making them face the charges filed against them in court.” Said PMGEN DANAO JR.###
