NCRPO’s PROJECT S.I.B.O.L: 4 – DOOR NEWLY CONSTRUCTED COMFORT ROOMS TURNED OVER FOR THE 35 YBANNAG FAMILIES OF BRGY SANTO ROSARIO, SILANGAN PATEROS

In line with the Adopt a community or the Project S.I.B.O.L. (Simula ng Isang Bagong Oportunidad sa Lipunan) NCRPO Regional Director, PMGEN VICENTE D DANAO JR. spearheaded the Blessing and Turned-Over of the 4- Door Comfort Rooms/ Bathrooms at M. Flores Compound, Barangay Santo Rosario, Silangan, Pateros on July 5, 2021 at 10:30 am.

Barangay Santo Rosario, Silangan is small community which managed to start out a small vegetable garden to ensure additional healthy food supply for every family in the neighborhood. This initiative proves the unquestionable capability of the residents to survive despite the current health crisis.

From the day it was launched, the Project S.I.B.O.L. has conducted series of distribution of relief goods, food packs, health kits, slippers, clothes, gardening and clean-up drive activities under the supervision of PCOL JULIUS C SURIBEN, Chief, RCADD, NCRPO, PLTCOL JENNY DC TECSON, Chief PIS-RCADD/RPIO together with the officers and personnel of RCADD and in coordination with the Pateros Police Station, Barangay Officials of Brgy Sto Rosario, Silangan headed by Hon. Romeo Lodronio, SK Chairman , Hon John Mathew Palma, KKDAT Southern President, Hon Jessa Joy Abejar for the benefit of the community members apart from the repair and construction of the community’s pump well.

In line with this, NCRPO saw the need to construct comfort rooms to maintain proper hygiene and cleanliness with the current fight against COVID-19. Having a clean and well-maintained comfort room is necessary.

The construction of comfort rooms was initiated by the Regional Director through the assistance of the personnel of RMFB led by PCAPT MARK ANGELO BUCAD under the supervision of PCOL LAMBERT A SUERTE, Force Commander as part of his commitment to reach out and give hope to the deserving barangays in Metro Manila. It is also in congruence with the Cluster 2 of ELCAC which is Basic Services and SBGs Malasakit Program. The project was realized

During his message, PMGEN DANAO also gave emphasis that NCRPO will continue to alleviate the livelihood aspect to the residents of the Compound. “Mayroon po tayong mga rug making, yung pagbebenta ng sabon para sa panahon ng pandemya ay makatulong po tayo sa ating mga kababayan hindi lang po yung aasa tayo sa gobyerno. Kahit sa konting halaga mayroon din tayong kikitain kahit papaano,” he said. The program that RD DANAO has planned for the families is in line with ELCAC Cluster 3 – Poverty Reduction, Livelihood and Employmemt (PRLE).

“I would like to congratulate and thank each and everyone. Alam niyo hindi ito magmamaterialize without the help of each and everyone. Ang request lang natin, hindi po ito for rent na kwarto ito po ay paliguan at palikuran para po sa buong mamamayan ng M Flores Compound, Brgy Sto Rosario, Silangan. Sa ating mga kababayan, sa ating mga kasamang narito pangalagaan lang po natin ito para tumagal ng mahabang panahon,” he concluded.###
