NCRPOs 5 in1 ACTIVITY FOR THE 26TH PCR MONTH 2021 KICK OFF CEREMONY

NCRPO Regional Director PMGEN VICENTE D DANAO JR presided the Monday Flag Raising, Awarding and Kick off Ceremony for the 26th PCR Month Celebration this 5th day of July, 2021 with Guest of Honor and Speaker, Hon Edwin L Olivarez, Mayor, Parañaque City and Chairman of Regional Peace and Order Council- NCR at NCRPO Grandstand, Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City.

A 5in1 series of activities were prepared by the Regional Community Affairs Development Division under the supervision of PCOL JULIUS C SURIBEN, Chief RCADD along with his staff in consonance with the Monday Flag Raising Ceremony and Awarding Ceremonies.

Atty Romeo E David officially declared the kick off of the 26th Police Community Relations Month Celebration with a theme “Pulis at Pamayanan, BARANGAYanihan sa Hamon ng Pandemya at Laban sa Krimen.” The theme reflects the importance of the esprit de corps of the police and community in surmounting the challenges brought about by the current pandemic.

Thereafter, as part of Project S.I.B.O.L, the blessing of sewing machines transpired during the event. The sewing machines are intended for the alleviation of livelihood of the vulnerable members of the community. Project S.I.B.O.L has achieved several accomplishments from the day it was launched and continuously receives donation from stakeholders. In line with this, another Memorandum of Understanding regarding Scholarships and livelihood program was signed between RD NCRPO and Project Partners.

Likewise, NCRPO Mobile Kusina Tele-Eskwela Bayanihan (KTB) was blessed and will roll all over the Metro in line with the Regional Office’s commitment to help and provide healthy food supply to the people who needed it the most.

Consequently, scholarships were awarded to two (2) former CTGs and 1 CTGFO alongside with the awarding of stakeholders who donated supplies to NCRPO.

The donors of High-Speed Sewing Machines are: Mr Nathaniel G Laneda and Mr Adrian M Lim.

The donors of Scholarship and Livelihood Training: Ms. Malou L Lee, President, Maagap Hinirang Lady Eagles Club;
Mr Johnson Z Lee, President, Valorous Quezon Eagles Club;
Mr Gerald D Glenn R Garcia, President, Maagap Hinirang Eagles Club;
Mr Garry S Chavez, Spokesperson, Maagap Hinirang and Valorous Quezon Eagles Club.

The donors of Mobile KTB Food Truck for Project S.I.B.O.L is Mr Robert Gaza, Owner, DIGAMA Waste Management.

Meanwhile, police officers who have shown exemplary performance in their field of duty were awarded by RD, NCRPO and Mayor Olivarez. Among the awardees are: PCOL HANSEL M MARANTAN, RID who was awarded for Medalya ng Kasanayan while Medalya ng Ugnayang Pampulisya were awarded to PCOL MAXIMO F SEBASTIAN JR, COP, Paranaque CPS; PLTCOL GENE M LICUD, MPD; PMAJ BENEDICTO B BALAGTAS, SPD; PMAJ CHNADA A MONTE, RCADD; PCAPT PHILIP A INES, MPD; PMSg Raymond N Nuque, EPD; PSSg Ramoncito L Sabido, SPD; PCpl Ferjette E Esguerra, SPD; PCpl Veronica SJ Abrea, SPD; Pat Romeo B Quijado, SPD and NUP Kimberly S Lauzon EPD.

On the same note, Awardees of the recently conclude Search and Rescue Competition were recognized wherein Pasig City Police Station was hailed as the Champion. The 1st runner up was District Mobile Force Battalion, EPD, followed by the DMFB-QCPD and third runner up, DMFB-NPD.

During his speech, Hon. Mayor Eric L Olivarez assured that the policy body, Regional Peace and Order council will continue to alleviate the lives of Metro people and to maintain the peace and order in the region. “Tayo po ay naniniwala na quality is better than quantity at ito po ang ipinakita ng labing ibat-ibang istasyon sa Metro Manila. It is the partnership between the police and the community, the government and the private sectors, partnership between national government, city government, municipal government and the Barangay government and particularly sa lahat po ng NGO’s, lahat po tayo ay may responsibilidad sa bayan. Responsibilidad to serve our community regardless if we are in private sector.

He further expressed his gratitude to the Regional Director, PMGEN DANAO for effectively leading the maintenance of peace and order of the region.

“Dinadalangin po natin sa Maykapal na ito pong pandemic na ito ay matapos na. Na saksi ng bawat mata po natin kung ano po ang paghihirap ng ating bawat mamamayan,” he concluded.

PMGEN DANAO ensured that police will continue to conduct activities that will benefit the members of the community. “Magpapatuloy po ang ating team sampu ng iba pang ahensya at lokal na pamahalaan sa pagtulong sa ating makakaya upang sabay-sabay tayo sa pagbangon mula sa hamon ng pandemya,” he said.###
