National Capital Region Police Office Chief, PMGEN Vicente D Danao Jr, welcomed and congratulated the forty three newly graduates of PNPA “Hinirang” Class 2021 during the Courtesy Call and Orientation Program which was held today (May 25, 2021) at the NCRPO Hinirang Hall, Camp Bagond Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City.
PMGEN Danao, said that the new Breed of Police Commissioned Officers will be assigned at the Regional Mobile Force Battalion to undergo additional training aside from what they had in the Academy. He also encourage the young officers to be part of the new ERA of change in the organization which stands for being a good Example, being Responsible and always be Accountable in all their actions, as well as to serve with sincerity, courage and concern for the people.
“Stand on your Principles, stand on your ideals. I hope that the ideals that you have cherish to inculcate in your hearts and mind will forever be there. Huwag kayong masilaw along the way, kasi kung minsan, maraming tukso diyan. ” PMGEN Danao stated.
On the other hand, PMGEN Danao lauded the Regional Community Affairs and Development Division under the leadership of PCOL Julius C Suriben for the conduct of a Seminar on Women’s Right via Zoom on the same day. The activity was participated by 637 participants composed of selected Barangay Women’s Desk Officers, PNP uniformed personnel from the NCRPO Regional Headquarters, Regional Mobile Force Battalion and personnel from the five NCRPO Police Districts.
The activity aimed to widen the understanding and awareness of the community on the emerging trend of Gender- Based Violence (GBV) as well as in support to the respective Women’s group in the community and other vulnerable sectors of Gender-Based Violence.
RD Danao stated that “the NCRPO is active in developing strategies to strengthen its campaign against violence of women through the conduct of various programs, seminars and projects to stop abuse or violence which aims to increase the perceptive of our personnel assigned at the Women’s Desk on the rising trend of Gender-Based Violence.” ###
