NCRPO- PMGEN Vicente D Danao Jr., commended the intensified law enforcement operation of La Loma Police Station (PS 1) Quezon City ,Police District under PLTCOL TYRONE VALENZONA, Station Commander that resulted in the immediate arrest of a suspect for stabbing incident that transpired inside a carwash located at P Florentino Street corner Banawe Street, Brgy Lourdes, Quezon City at about 5:20PM on September 10, 2021.
Authorities identified the suspect as Marlon Pontillar y Lee alyas Kiko, 25 years old, single, jobless, native of Manila and residing at Bolanos Cmpd., located at #96 Kaliraya St., Brgy., Tatalon, Quezon City.
Further examination conducted by the SOCO Team revealed that victim Rickydean Bermudez y Vicencio, 27 years old, married, freelancer, a native and resident of # 14 Maria Clara St., Brgy., Sto Domingo Quezon City sustained multiple stabbed wounds that cause his instantaneous death.
The investigation report submitted by QCPD Director, PBGEN ANTONIO C YARRA indicated that follow-up operatives of PS-1 wasted no time and conducted follow up operations that eventually resulted in the arrest of the suspect in Brgy., 163, Tondo Manila at about 10:00PM of the same day. Subsequently, the suspect was brought to a hospital for physical examination and was turned over to the CIDU, QCPD for proper investigation while appropriate charges is being readied against him.
“I commend the immediate action of our investigators on this incident. This accomplishment only proves that your police force is doing its best to maintain the peace and order 24/7 in our areas of responsibility.
I extend our sympathy and condolences to the bereaved family of the victim. We assure you that appropriate charges will be filed against the suspect and that he would be made accountable for his wrongful acts. PMGEN Danao said. ###
