NCRPO Successfully Secures Campaign Rallies held in Pasay, Manila and San Juan



NCRPO — Two weeks before Election Day, a rally was held in Pasay City by the supporters of  presidential aspirant VP Leni Robredo and  running mate Sen Kiko Pangilinan. This is also to boost the momentum of her campaign and to celebrate her 57th birthday last Saturday, April 23, 2022 which started from 7:00 AM to 11:00PM along Macapagal Blvd., Pasay City from corner Buendia to corner Edsa Extension.


As to its entirety, the Leni- Kiko grand campaign rally   was generally peaceful. It was attended to by an estimated crowd of more or less 70,000 to 80,000 supporters and volunteers onboard of MOL 300 cars 15 buses ; 100 MCs and  15 PUJs.


The rally was attended first by groups of supporters coming from different areas displaying banners of support to Leni-Kiko tandem. Thereafter, they converged at the main rally site while other attendees mostly stayed in nearby establishments like malls and restaurants.


It was also noted that a great number of rallyist did not stay for the whole duration of the event but left after a while.


With the security coverage and public safety services provided by the PNP and other concerned Government agencies, which deployed 1,621 personnel from the PNP BFP, MMDA, PTMO, CDRRMO and Philippine Red Cross who were tasked to man police assistance desks, ACP, covert security, quick reaction team, EOD/K9, CDM, Venue Security, Perimeter Security, Route Security and emergency response team, the activity ended peacefully with NO UNTOWARD INCIDENT noted.


The National Capital Region Police Office Chief PMGEN FELIPE R NATIVIDAD ensured that NCRPO will proactively launch initiatives to ensure that the event will be peaceful and safe for the participants and attendees.


Relatedly on the same day, NCRPO also secured the simultaneous conduct of peace rally in Sampaloc Manila conducted by the supporters of presidential aspirant Bong Bong Marcos and his running mate, Sarah Duterte and the grand prayer rally for Sen. Manny Pacquiao at Corazon St., Pinaglabanan, San Juan City.

We greatly appreciate the cooperation of the attendees and the organizers which paved way to the successful peace and security operation during the event.
