NCRPO sponsors anew “Duterte Legacy” Caravan with other agencie

The National Capital Region Police Office, led no less by its Regional Director, Police Major General Felipe R Natividad, has once again spearheaded the conduct of “Duterte Legacy Caravan Project thru Convergence of all Government Agencies” on April 7, 2022 at NCRPO Hinirang Multi-Purpose Hall, Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City. The event was a manifestation of strong support of the PNP to the national government by informing the public of its policies, programs, and variety of services that could help bring about real change in the communities.

Participated in by representatives of different government agencies and instrumentalities, a number services were showcased, including donations of various supplies. The Department of Trade and Industry offered livelihood programs; the Department Of Science and Technology donated 500 pieces of nutribun; the Department of Social Welfare and Development and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority both offered scholarship grants; the Department of Interior and Local Government-NCR and the Department Of Labor and Employment both offered employment opportunities;  the Department of Environment and Natural Resources distributed 800 vegetable seedlings and 100 other samplings; and the Philippine Information Agency made a coverage of the said event.

On the other hand, the concerned regional offices and units of the PNP set up their information booths covering requirements for application for purchase of firearms and relevant police clearances;  motorcycle clearance; and police recruitment program. It also offered free legal assistance, distributed vitamins, applied booster shots for COVID 19, and conducted random blood check-up. For one, the “Gulong ng Suerte” initiative of the Regional Mobile Force Batallion was also shared.

The occasion was also attended by various coalition advocacy groups and force multipliers composed of more or less 1,800 persons.

In his speech, DILG Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya, who was the Guest of Honor and Speaker, deeply congratulated the NCRPO for the very well-organized conduct of the event which he said was quite festive as it was since it was conducted by NCRPO last year.

“Ang aktibidad na ito ay inoorganisa ng iba’t ibang ahensya ng pamahalaan tulad ng PNP. Subalit masasabi ko po na ang PNP ay ang ahensyang may pinakamarami at pinakamasayang aktibidad na inilulunsad sa ngayon,” said USEC Malaya.

PMGen Natividad communicated the utmost appreciation of the PNP to PRRD’s  administration’s  initiatives and enjoined the participants to do their share towards the realization of a more progressive and peaceful nation for all.

“We were lucky enough to personally experience his leadership during our time and with that, we must vigorously perform our share in the realization of his vision of a safer and more progressive country for the people we ought to serve and protect,” said Gen Natividad.
