A virtual message from SEN. CHRISTOPHER “BONG” GO as Guest of Honor and Speaker during the simultaneous Blessing and Inauguration of NCRPO MALASAKIT Livelihood Training Center and ‘Duterte Legacy’ Barangayanihan Caravan Towards National Recovery that conducted on October 20, 2021 at NCRPO Grandstand, Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig, City.

PMGEN VICENTE D DANAO JR together with Sec Silvestre “Bebot” Bello III of DOLE, Sec Rolando Joselito D Bautita of DSWD and the Command Group spearheaded the Blessing and Inauguration of the new NCRPO MALASAKIT Livelihood and Training Center.

An initiative project of Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan Caravan Towards National Recovery’ that portrays whole-of-nation approach in informing the public of the government’s effort towards sustainable development.

The MALASAKIT Center will provide a much needed job training and livelihood development for the creation of essential family income especially to those who belong to the vulnerable sectors of our society and those greatly affected this time of pandemic.

Consequently, after the inauguration, Team NCRPO along with the other Head of Agencies led the ‘Duterte Legacy’ Barangayanihan Caravan that benefited more than 2000 former members of CTG Affected Mass Organization (CAMOs).

During the program, PBGEN BENJAMIN C ACORDA JR, Deputy Regional Director for Administration delivered the welcome message to honor the presence of all the guests who attended including Sec Silvestre “Bebot” Bello III, DOLE; Sec Rolando Joselito D Bautita, DSWD; RD Sarah Buena S Mirasol, DOLE NCR; RD Florencio Sunico, TESDA NCR; RD Vicente Gregorio B. Tomas, DSWD NCR; RD Jose B. Patalinjug III, DOST NCR; Director General , PIA; RD Melvin B. Navarro, DPWH NCR; Brig. Gen. Marceliano Teofilo, CDR JTF NCR; PNP RSUs; C,PID, DPCR; Pres/Founder of SIKAP (NGO) as well as all of the participants from CTGFOs coopted by NCRPO RCSP SIBOL Teams and CSP Teams of JTF NCR.

Likewise, DSWD Sec Rolando Bautista led the Oath of Allegiance of the 1000 former CAMOs members wherein they pledged to renounce their membership and belief from the false causes and ideology influenced by Communist Terrorist Group Front Organizations and have vowed allegiance to the Philippine Government.

As the highlight of the event PMGEN DANAO together with SEC. BELLO III and SEC. BAUTISTA and other Head of Agencies led the distribution of livelihood packages.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development provided cash assistance amounting to PHP 3,000.00 to 518 individuals. DSWD Facilitator distributes Family Food Packs to Beneficiaries from JUPCMO members from Sitio Dumpsite, Brgy Catmon, Malabon. A total of 2000 packs were distributed to 10 organizations.

Moreover, TESDA handed out application for training and scholarship to the individuals who wanted to undergo courses under the organization.

Also, the Department of Labor and Employment through their TUPAD Program pledged to provide jobs to 500 individuals for 10 days wherein they will get paid of Php 537 per day. In addition, DOLE also processed and slated 100 beneficiaries /individual through their bikecination program and 10 negosyo carts per organization was awarded.

Aside from that, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) NCR distributed Nutriban to beneficiaries from Sitio Bakal, Bagong Silangan, Quezon City. 500 pieces of Nutriban were distributed and has conducted seminars on food processing.

Furthermore, the police personnel of NCRPO provided free check-up, vehicle clearance, distributed requirements for PNP Recruitment, among other. They also distributed hot meals and bottled water through NCRPO Mobile – Kusina Tele- eskuwela Bayanihan .

The one-day activity catered more than 2000 individuals wherein they received food items, hygiene kits, livelihood packages and other basic necessities to alleviate the ill impact of the health crisis among their families.

In a message of PMGEN DANAO he said “higit sa pagpapanatili ng kaayusan at katahimikan sa Kamaynilaan, layun nating matulungan ang ating mga kababayan na maibsan ang kahirapan at kakulangan na idinulot ng pandemya sa pamumuhay ng mahihirap nating mga kababayan. Nawa ay maging daan ang mga proyektong ito sa pagpapalawig ng ating layuning makapagbigay ng “Serbisyong TAMA” sa ating mga kababayan”.###
