NCRPO: The Chief of the National Capital Region Police Office PMGEN VICENTE D DANAO JR along with PBGEN BENJAMIN ACORDA JR, DRDA; PBGEN JON A ARNALDO, DRDO, PBGEN ANTONIO C YARRA, District Director ,QCPD; BGEN MARCELIANO V TEOFILO, JTF Commander- NCR ably represented by COL DANILO DUPIAG, of the Joint Civil Military Operations Task Group, Hon. Wilfredo Cara, Barangay Chairman, Marissa D Padrequlla, President, SBHOA, other officers and Personnel of NCRPO and QCPD spearheaded the Blessing of NCRPO SIBOL Projects, Turn over, Lightning of the 1st and 2nd batches of solar panels to 300 beneficiaries and Lighting of a Christmas Tree and Star ver on October 22, 2021 at at Sitio Bakal, Brgy. Bagong Silangan, Quezon City.
Sitio Bakal is one among the identified areas of NCRPO which needs a help and attention. When RD DANAO learned that 70% of the residence in the area do not have electricity, he assured to provide solar panels to the house holds to help the limited lighting system.
From the day it was identified, Team NCRPO through the Regional Community Affairs Development Division (RCADD), under the supervision of PCOL C SURIBEN; Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) , under PCOL LAMBERT A SUERTE; NCRPO Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) and JTF- NCR has been very active in delivering services in the said area apart from the food packages, health kits, solar panels, among others .
Today, a newly built house, Newly Repaired Multi Purpose Center (MPC), a water system known as “well of life” were also turned over and blessed for the benefit of the members of the community. To celebrate the new source of electricity in the area, a ceremonial lighting of the 1st and 2nd batches of solar panels , “light of life” installed benefitting 300 beneficiaries , Christmas Tree and a Star was conducted.
The lighting activity symbolized hope for everyone that one day, we will all surpass the challenges of the pandemic. Soon enough, everything will be back to normal and we will rise triumphant from this COVID – 19 pandemic.
Likewise, the Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan Caravan Towards National Recovery was also held in Sitio Bakal wherein a total of 510 food packs from DSWD, and NCRPO were distributed to include face masks, faceshields and IEC materials.
Moreover, DOST provided 510 nutribun to add up the 510 assorted cup cakes and 510 bottled water from NCRPO for the children in the said community.
On his message RD DANAO emphasized that said lightings brighten the darkness enfolds by the current impediment and further assured that NCRPO will never stop giving them the best quality service.
“Hangad ko na sa munti naming mga handog ay nagawa naming mabigyan kayo ng bagong buhay at pag-asa na harapin at mapagtagumpayan ang mga hamon ng bago nating paraan ng pamumuhay sa gitna ng pandemya,” he said.###
