NCRPO Sends Off 497 Rookie Cops Metrowide

National Capital Region Police Office officially Send Off and Turned over 497 Rookie Cops to the Five Police Districts during the Joint Ceremonies on the Closing on January 21, 2021 at the NCRPO HInirang Multi-Purpose Hall, Camp Bagong Diwa, BIcutan Taguig City.

On behalf of the Regional Director, PMGEN Vicente D Danao Jr., the Deputy Regional Director for Administration, PBGEN Florencio T Ortilla congratulated and inspired the seventy four (74) graduates of the PSFTP Class 2019-04 “Maragtas” from the Police Security Protection Group (PSPG) after completing six (6) months training on the field.

Meanwhile, forty eight (48) rookies from the Highway Patrol Group and ninety eight (98) from the Police Recruitment and Benefit Section Class 2020-02 were turned over to the Quezon City Police District. While the three hundred forty nine members of NCRPO Public Safety Basic Recruit Course (PSBRC) Class 2020-02 “Sarinlahi” will be distributed to the Northern Police District, Eastern Police District, Manila Police District and Southern Police District. They will undergo Public Safety Field Training Program (PSFTP) for six (6) months.

The PSFTP is a six (6) months compulsory training for all police trainees and is one of the requirements for permanency of their status as they will put into practice all the knowledge they gained from their six (6) months Public Safety Recruit Course training in the training school. Within this period, police trainees will be trained to respond and enforce the law based on actual scenarios, as traffic first responders, and patrol first responders.

In his message, PBGEN Ortilla encouraged the graduates to do things right and work right. “This is not the end of your training, this is only the start because there will be more of protective and security operation activities and training that you will be involved in. This is your first engagement to the community and hopefully no one violates any guidelines and policies against you. Any violation is tantamount to dismissal.” He added.

He also reiterated the reminder of the NCRPO Regional Director PMGEN Vicente D Danao, that as public servants they must serve as an ERA -Example, Responsible and Accountable policeman. “ Ang isang pulis ay may Serbisyong Tama, Tapat, may tapang at Malasakit sa taong bayan.” He ended###
