National Capital Region Police Office Chief PMGEN Vicente D Danao Jr., warmly welcomed USEC Edilberto DC Leonardo, Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) during the Flag Raising and Awarding Ceremonies and Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the NCRPO and DENR on July 12, 2021 at the NCRPO Grandstand, Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan Taguig City.

As highlight of the program, a Memorandum of Understanding between the NCRPO and the DENR was sealed that aims to establish a clean and green program and undertake tree planting activities. DENR-NCR will provide planting materials for NCRPO and monitor the survival of the planted seedlings.

Other activities included are the Blessing of the NCRPO Tow Truck, Oath Taking of NCRPO Green Warriors/Kaligkasan Advocacy Group and the Awarding of Medals to deserving NCRPO personnel as well as giving of Plaque of Appreciation to Stakeholders.

The NCRPO Tow Truck was procured through the initiative of the Regional Director PMGEN Vicente D Danao Jr., to upgrade and boost the mobility of the region during operational and command activities of the NCRPO.

In his message, USEC Leonardo expressed his gratitude to PMGEN Danao for the warm welcome accorded to him as well as extended his appreciation to all those who continuously supports the advocacy of the police force in fighting crimes particularly on the accomplishments on the war on drugs.

USEC Leonardo likewise solicited the help of the police force in enforcing the laws in protecting the environment and natural resources of the country. “Mahalaga ang pagkakaisa ng kapulisan at ng DENR upang maprotektahan ang ating kalikasan para patuloy tayong mabuhay ng matiwasay at para sa Magtulungan tayo para mailigtas ang ating kalikasan tulad sa paghuli sa mga nagtitinda ng mga bawal katulad ng narra, mga nagbebenta ng wild life.You enforce the law, you do not need to ask authority from us, you just need to coordinate with DENR.” He ended.

The activity concluded with a tree planting activity at the NCRPO ECO Park led by USEC Leonardo, PMGEN Danao, Command Group, R-Staffs, other officers and personnel of the NCRPO. ###
