NCRPO RECORDS A ZERO INCIDENT IN THE OBSERVANCE OF THE FEAST OF THE BLACK NAZARENE 2022

PMGEN Vicente D Danao Jr., NCRPO Chief expressed his gratitude to all the stakeholders, concerned agencies, deployed policemen and to all the devotees for their cooperation and help for a peaceful observance of the Feast of the Black Nazarene on January 9, 2022. Likewise, a zero incident was recorded during the event.

In the maintenance of peace and order despite the suspension of the Traslacion traditional activities, NCRPO have deployed 2,465 personnel not only to guard established checkpoints but also to impose security measures to make sure that devotees would not insist on visiting churches which have been closed due the threat of COVID-19.

Earlier, the Quiapo Church announced the suspension of the traditional Traslacion or procession of the Black Nazarene image to its church and Holy masses will be hourly held on line.

“Muli pong nagpapasalamat ang inyong kapulisan sa ating mga kababayan sa kanilang pakikipatulungan, tulong at pagsunod sa mga paghihigpit para sa pagdiriwang ng kapistahan ng itim Nazareno. I also commend our deployed personnel for a job well done.” PMGEN Danao stated. ###
