NCRPO RECEIVES MORE THAN 1,000 KILOS OF SQUASH

Following the surge of COVID-19 pandemic, the economy and major cities in Metro Manila suffered from insufficiency not just from food items but from other primary needs as well. Hence the launching of NCRPO’s version of the PNP BARANGAYanihan Help and Food Bank project themed as “Serbisyong TAMA BARANGAYanihan Help & Food Bank”.

This endeavor aims to have readily available food supplies for distribution anytime in cases of emergencies and other fortuitous events. Benefiting from the activity were selected beneficiaries from urban poor sectors of society and other communities who were greatly affected by the pandemic.

The project owes its success to the unwavering support of stakeholders and other units both from public and private sector in sharing essential supplies which NCRPO distributes down to the chosen beneficiaries.

In line with this, the Adviser of the Officers’ Ladies Club, wife of our Chief PNP, Mrs. Rosalie H Eleazar together with Mrs Leticia O Cruz, President , PNP Officers’ Ladies Club; Mrs. Mariejo C Bondoc, PNP OLC/SI , Mrs Mery Ann Dy-Lim, Businesswoman/ Charter President, SI -Kalipi, PBGEN JASON ORTIZO, Director Chaplain Service and Rev. Fr Rey Ibanez visited NCRPO today, May 25, 2021 to partake in this cause through a donation composed of over 1,000 kilograms of squash which will be part of the NCRPO food bank ready for distribution anytime all over Metro Manila.

Mrs. Eleazar and party was also warmly welcomed by the members of the NCRPO command group, Regional Staff and other officers followed by a pamaypay dance rendered by the RCADD dancers.

“I am thankful for the unwavering support of our stakeholders especially today when we have been blessed by the presence of no other than Mrs. Rosalie Eleazar whom we have known to be an advocate of human rights and gender equality. Her donation today will greatly aid in our endeavor to help sustain the needs of the marginalized sectors of society as we altogether continue our fight against the unseen enemy.” Said PMGEN DANAO JR.###
