NCRPO: QUICK RESPONSE OF DUTY COPS LEADS TO THE ARREST OF TWO ROBBERY SUSPECTS AND RECOVERY OF STOLEN ITEMS
National Capital Region Police Office Chief, PMGEN Vicente D Danao Jr., lauded the police operatives of Marikina City Police Station under PCOL BENLINER CAPILI, Chief of Police and Caloocan City Police Station under PCOL SAMUEL V MINA, Chief of Police for their immediate response to a reported Robbery (hold-up and snatching) incident that happened in their respective areas of jurisdiction that resulted in the arrest of the suspects and recovery of stolen items.
Initial investigation reports submitted indicated that on November 2, 2021 at about 4:00AM , while the victim was walking along Sampaguita St., Brgy Malanday, Marikina City, when, the suspect identified as Jaymark Ruiz y Repuerzo pointed a sharp object on his belly, declared hold-up and forcibly took the cellphone of the victim and fled to an unknown direction. The stolen item was an OPPO A3S worth Php 10,000.
The victim reported the incident to police authorities that prompted the duty officers to conduct a search follow-up operation which resulted in the arrest of the suspect and the recovery of the stolen item.
Meanwhile, at about 12:30AM, along Block 25 Lot 15, Miramonte Park Brgy 180 Caloocan City, the victim was reportedly on her way to her friends house when she asked for assistance regarding the location of her destination. Subsequently, the suspect identified as Joseph Alingasa y Flores offered to guide her but while they were walking, the suspect suddenly punched the victim twice on her belly and snatched her cellphone. The stolen item was described as Redmi note 9s color sky blue-worth thirteen thousand pesos (Php 13,000.00). With the quick response on the reported incident, the arrested suspect was turned over to Caloocan City Police Station at about 3:30PM on the same day.
