NCRPO- PMGEN VICENTE D DANAO lauded the success of the two separate buy-bust operation conducted by the Quezon City Police District on September 23 and 24, 2021, respectively.
At about 11:15 PM of September 24, personnel of Masambong Police Station- Drug Enforcement Unit launched a buy-bust operation against two drug suspects in front of Congressman Reynaldo A. Calalay Memorial Elementary School (CRACMES) located at F. Bautista St., Brgy. Damayan, Quezon City
Said buy-bust operation resulted in the arrest of two drug suspects , John Noel R De Vera alias Wang, male, 19 years old, single, jobless, a native of and resident of Brgy Baesa, Quezon City and included in the DI watchlist and Rhay Van B Lumanog @Van, male, 20 years old, single, jobless, a native of and resident of Brgy Bahay Toro, Quezon City.
Investigation disclosed that an operative acted as a poseur buyer. Upon consummation of the transaction, the operative introduced himself as a police officer and along with the back-up police, suspects were apprehended.
Recovered from the suspects are the following: Twenty two (22) pcs of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected Shabu more or less 150 grams with a DDB value of Php 1,020,000.00; Two (2) pcs of large zip locked plastic containing dried leaves of suspected Marijuana weighs more or less 1 Kilogram with of Php 120,000.00; One (1) pc of genuine five hundred Peso bill, incorporated with eight (8) pieces of one thousand boodle money (buy bust money); One (1) pc of colored brown hand carry bag; and One (1) pc of colored blue eco bag.
The confiscated pieces of evidence were duly marked, inventoried and photographed at the place of arrest which was witnessed by Barangay Kagawad Danilo G Sibal and Rene Joshua Ablad, and media representative from NCRPO press club. Both witnesses and suspects were furnished with inventory receipt.
De Vera and Lumanog were brought to the station for further investigation. While the confiscated pieces of evidence from the two (2) suspects were endorsed to QCPD Crime Laboratory for analysis.
Hours later , personnel of Quezon City Police District-Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) launched a buy-bust operation against Alfredo S Aquino ll, 46 years old, male, single, jobless and a resident of No. 1 Flores St., Brgy Vruz na Ligas, Quezon City. Records show that he was previously arrested by Police Station 4 for violation of section 5 and 11 of RA 9165.
Based on the report submitted by PBGEN ANTONIO C YARRA, District Director averred that suspects were arrested by the operatives who acted as poseur buyer and were able to purchase from him a 10,000-peso worth of shabu. Then and there, police officers immediately effected his arrest.
Recovered from the suspect were more or less 45 grams of suspected Shabu with DDB value of Php 306,000.00, one (1) pc genuine five hundred (500) peso bill incorporated w/ nineteen (19) pieces 500 fake money, one (1) Marlboro carton box and one (1) unit cellular phone.
The physical inventory of the confiscated pieces of evidence was conducted at the place of the arrest and witnessed by the Barangay Krus na Ligas Kagawad Florence Beltrano and Media representative Mr Alex Mendoza.
Suspects from both operations will face charges for violation of Article II of Republic Act 9165 also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
