In line with strengthening the public engagement in keeping the region safe and secured, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) under the leadership of PMGEN VICENTE D DANAO JR concluded another Patrolling and Response Operations Training to Empower CVOs and Tanods (P.R.O.T.E.C.T.), Search and Rescue followed by the Oath Taking Advocacy Support Groups and Signing of Manifesto of Support to NCRPO on July 28, 2021 at Teatro Marikina, Brgy. San Roque, Marikina City.
On behalf of PMGEN Vicente D Danao Jr. Regional Director, NCRPO, PBGEN Matthew P Baccay, District Director, Eastern Police District graced the event together with Hon. Marcelino R. Teodoro Mayor, Marikina City ably represented by Hon. Marion Andres, City Vice Mayor, Ms. Jonie Jocson, Executive Secretary, Office of the Mayor, PCOL BENLINER L CAPILI, Acting Chief of Police, Marikina City, PCOL JULIUS SURIBEN, Chief, RCADD, PLTCOL JENNY DC TECSON, Chief,PIS-RCADD/PIO PMAJ ERIC CISTER, Asst. Chief, DCADD, PMAJ ROSE MARIE DICHE, Chief, CAS- RCADD, Barangay Chairmen together with their Barangay Tanods from Brgy. Tañong, Brgy. Sto. Niño, Brgy. Barangka and Brgy. Sta. Elena, Marikina City.
Relatedly, Marikina Search and Rescue Team composed of Seven Teams headed by their MSAR Supervisor, PLT CUARESMA were also present during the activity.
These teams will be utilized especially Marikina City is prone to floods.
A total of 75 Barangay Tanods and Civilian Volunteers in Marikina City participated in the program to beef up the capabilities of the force multipliers in order to better response to any untoward incident that may occur.
During the event, candidates for graduation of P.R.O.T.E.C.T Training demonstrated their talents and skills on Arnis and Handcuffing techniques.
