With the sudden surge of Covid 19 cases in Metro Manila, the sector of public transportation was among the most affected thereby aggravating the daily need of the community to travel.
Following the implementation of alert level 3 restrictions in Metro Manila, NCRPO committed to deploy 124 trucks with 265 personnel acting as social distancing officer, driver, videographers and conductor team leader.
The libreng sakay route will traverse mainly the road from Bicutan to SM North and vice versa. On its 1st day Yesterday, January 3,2022, 274 trips were undertaken servicing around 1,491 passengers.
To ensure a comfortable and safe trip, NCRPO also distributed mineral waters, face masks, face shield, newspaper and IEC materials to the passengers.
