NCRPO Held “Juana Talk to Me” Project

NCRPO- In line with its advocacy to promote women empowerment, provide immediate and sustainable protection to women against all forms of violence caused by conflicts, exploitation, discrimination and abuse ,the NCRPO under the leadership of PMGEN VICENTE D DANAO JR, held “Juana Talk to Me”
at the Hinirang Multipurpose Hall, Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City together with the National Headquarters Officers’ Ladies Club (OLC) led by Ms. Rosalie Hernandez Eleazar as the Guest of Honor and Speaker this 19th day of October, 2021.

The event was attended to by members of the Coalition of Lingkod Bayan Advocacy Support Groups and Force Multipliers composed of Mrs. Rosalie Hernandez-Eleazar, Adviser, PNP OLC; Mrs. Olivia Acorda; Mrs. Josephine Yarra; Mrs Pinkee Francisco , Mrs. Marilou Lee, President, Hinirang Eagles Club and other distinguished guest

During the activity, the participants from LGBTQ, KKDAT, Women Sector and Mrs ng Pulis were given the opportunity to broaden their knowledge about the rights vested upon them by law by answering their legal questions and inquiries through PCOL PORTIA B MANALAD; Deputy Chief, Womens and Children Protection Desk (WCPD); PCOL GEMMA C VINLUAN, Chief Family , Juvenile and Gender and Development (FJGAD- DPCR) and PCOL LYNETTE M TADEO, Chief Regional Legal Service, NCRPO .

“Juana Talk to Me” is just one of the activities embedded under the Women, Peace, and Security Project “Juana” anchored under the Magna Carta for Women (RA 9710). It aims to mobilize and organize the women’s sector particularly the identified marginalized or vulnerable sector of the community.

“Societies that value men and women as equal; are safer and healthier to live at. Hence, we must empower our women and strengthen them through knowledge and awareness.” Mrs. Eleazar said.
