NCRPO DUTERTE LEGACY: BARANGAYANIHAN CARAVAN TOWARDS NATIONAL RECOVERY AND NCRPO SIBOL LIVELIHOOD PROJECT DEMO IN QUEZON CITY

On behalf of PMGEN Vicente D Danao Jr., RD NCRPO, PBGEN Antonio C Yarra, District Director, Quezon City spearheaded the Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan Caravan Towards National Recovery and NCRPO SIBOL Livelihood Project Demo in Quezon City on November 6, 2021.

The activity was held at Brgy Bagong Pag-asa Elementary School. Said activity was focused on the 800 former CTGFOs of Sitio San Roque, Brgy., Bagong Pag-asa, Brgy Payatas and Sitio Bakal, Brgy., Bagong Silangan and 20 former KADAMAY in Malabon City.

Other participants of the said activity are NCRPO-QCPD, JTF-NCR, DSWD, DOLE, TESDA, DOST, DEPED, PIA/PCOO, and LGU-QC. Also joining the caravan is the San Miguel Food Corporation as the new partner of the NCRPO in its SIBOL NG Malasakit Community Resellers Program.

The DSWD distributed Php 3,000.00 each to the 800 pre identified and processed beneficiaries by the Regional Community Affairs Development Division under the leadership of PCOL Julius C Suriben, Chief RCADD through its SIBOL Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP).

In his message, Brgy Captain Rodolfo Palma, Brgy Bagong Pag-asa expressed his gratefulness to the government under the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte, the NCRPO and JFT-NCR for helping and making them realize that opposing the government leads them to no where. “ Hinihiling ko sa ating mga kabarangayan, sana po samantalahin na natin ito. Huwag na tayo padikta sa ating mga iniwang kasamahan dahil walang mapupuntahan. Dito na tayo sa gobyernong hindi tayo pababayaan. Magtiwala kayo kung saan tayo mapapabuti. Magtulong-tulong tayo para sa ikabubuti ng ating barangay.”

Also, Mr Rodel Adiao, SANDIGAN President also expressed his gratitude to the present administration, NCRPO and JTF-NCR for helping them in the realization of their dreams. “ Nagpapasalamat kami sa ating kapulisan at kasundaluhan na noon ay akala natin na nandun lang sa sila sa kalsada, nasa bundok kung saan kalaban ng mga tao, lagi pong humaraharang sa demolisyon. Pero ngayon po, nakita natin dahil sa pagsusumikap ng ating mabubuting pinuno. Hindi po natin kailangang lumabas, manawagan, magprotesta upang humingi ng ayuda, Dahil mismo sa pamununo po ng ating Presidente Rodrigo Duterte, inilapit na to sa ating ang programa.

Moreover, in representation of Ms Lauz Laurino, SNBP President, Ms Cristina Dakendek, Vice President-SNBP also expressed her gratitude to President Duterte for the programs that they were able to benefit from such as free education, SAP that was given during the height of the current pandemic and housing projects for the poor. “Kami po yung mga tinatawag na leftist na nag-aalsa sa kalsada. Pero ngayon po na nakilala namin ang kapulisan at kasundaluhan, lumakas po ang pag-asa namin. Lalo pa kaming lumakas tumulong para sa mga taong umaasa rin sa amin.”

During his speech, PBGEN Yarra expounded the Caravan and guidelines of Alert Level 2. He likewise emphasized that the NCRPO SIBOL Program is designed to provide various opportunities to the urban poor in furtherance to EO. Nr 70s 2018. He also encouraged everyone to always abide with the laws/ordinances and be productive and self sufficient as their share in nation building. He also thanked the attendees for embracing peace and trusting the government.

The project was made possible through the initiative and efforts of PMGEN Danao who led Team NCRPO in engaging all agencies in ensuring the realization of EO Nr 70 s 2018 (ELCAC) at ang Serbisyong TAMA: TApat, may tapang at MAlasakit na paglingkuran mula sa puso ang sambayanang Pilipino”. ###
