NCRPO: DRUG PEDDLER AND PHP 1.1M MARIJUANA BUSTED IN CALOOCAN

The relentless efforts of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) to curb the proliferation of illegal drugs in the region resulted in the arrest of a drug suspect and the seizure of an estimate PhP 1.1M illegal drugs during a buy bust operation conducted on August 6, 2021 at about 4:40AM at #116, Ligaya Street, Brgy 122, Caloocan City.

Based on the report submitted to PMGEN Vicente D Danao Jr., Regional Director from NPD Director, .PBGEN JOSE S HIDALGO JR., the suspect was identified as Michael Kevin Garcia y Cayetano, listed as pusher, 24 years old, single, Online Seller and a resident of Ligaya St., Brgy 122, Caloocan City.

Operatives of OCOP- DEU, Caloocan CPS led by PMAJ Deo D Cabildo Chief, DEU together with elements of 6th MFC RMFB-NCRPO led by PMAJ Vilmer P Miralles under the supervision of PCOL Samuel V Mina Jr, COP in coordination with PDEA-RONCR conducted Buy bust Operation which led to the arrest of the suspect after selling one (1) pc of medium wrap transparent plastic containing dried leaves and fruiting tops substance believed to be “Marijuana” to a police officer who acted as poseur buyer in exchange for one genuine one thousand peso bill (Php. 1,000.00) bundled with three (3) pieces of one thousand fake/boodle currency used as buy-bust money.

Seized from the suspect were Ten (10) pcs of wrap transparent plastic containing dried leaves and fruiting tops believed to be “Marijuana”, one of which is the subject of sale, one (1) black back pack and the buy-bust money.

The total confiscated drugs weigh approximately 9,250 grams with DDB standard value of Php. 1,110,000.00.

Garcia is currently under custody of the operating units for proper documentation prior to filing of a case for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 against him while the confiscated evidence was sent to the Crime Laboratory for confirmatory testing.

“ I commend the operating units for another accomplishment. Amid the current pandemic, your police force will not cease to go after person/s engaging in illegal drugs or any illegal activities in our region.” PMGEN Danao stated. ###
