Amid the surge of the global pandemic, NCRPO strengthened its community affairs capability through training and development of personnel particularly in the field of community affairs.
Towards this end, NCRPO Concludes Class 06-20 of Police and Community Affairs Development Course (PCADC) this 19th day of May 2021. In a message shared by the incumbent Regional Director, NCRPO PMGEN VICENTE D DANAO JR, he reiterated the importance of community affairs in the success of their campaign not just against illegal drugs, terrorism and criminality but also against the increasing number of persons infected with COVID 19 disease.
“Nagpapasalamat po ako sa mga instructors for making this training a successful one. This training is very timely especially in this trying times of pandemic. Kailangan natin ng mga police officers who are dedicated na magbbigay kaalaman sa ating mga kababayan on the aspect of infocare, anti-criminality,illegal drugs and terrorism.” Said PMGEN DANAO JR.
This training forms part of the competency framework of the PNP’s program to attain the vision of a highly effective, capable and credible police service by 2030 by enhancing the PNP’s image to regain the trust and the confidence of the citizenry to their police.
“A few bad eggs in the organization puts us all and everything we do in bad light. We need to redeem our image and the image of this organization. To do this, we need well-disciplined and well-rounded police officers. I expect na kung anong napag aralan natin would be cascaded down the line. Ito ang kinakailangan natin upang mapagtibay natin ang ating mga sarili at maging good examples of a responsible and accountable police officers in everything we do” he added.
The graduating class comprise of 41 personnel mostly engaged in Police Community Relations tasks and other endeavor requiring knowledge and expertise in community relations.###
