Geared towards building the trust and support of the community, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) concluded the Patrolling and Response Operations Training to Empower CVOs and Tanods (P.R.O.T.E.C.T.) followed by the Oath Taking of Advocacy Support Groups and Signing of Manifesto of Support to NCRPO, EPD, ELCAC and PAIDS on June 10, 2021 in Pasig City.

On behalf of PMGEN Vicente D Danao Jr. Regional Director, NCRPO, PBGEN Matthew P Baccay, District Director, Eastern Police District graced the event together with Hon. Roman T Romulo, Congressman, Pasig City, Hon. Victor Ma. Regis N Sotto, City Mayor, Pasig. PMGEN Baccay likewise administered the Oath Taking of Advocacy Support Groups and Signing of Manifesto of Support to NCRPO, EPD, ELCAC and PAIDS.

Also present during the event are: PCOL Julius Suriben, C, RCADD-NCRPO, PCOL Roman C Arugay, OIC, Pasig City Police Station, Rev. Father Rudy Paragas, Parish Priest, San Antonio Abad Parish Church; and Hon Marvin C Benito, Brgy Captain, Brgy Sagad, Pasig City.

The program was participated by fifty five (55) Barangay Tanods and Civilian Volunteer Organizations (CVOs) in Pasig City. The program aims to beef up the capabilities of NCRPO’s force multipliers for a better response to address any untoward incident that may occur.

During the program, Congressman Romulo also congratulated the graduates of P.R.O.T.E.C.T and expressed his appreciation to the PNP, other front liners, and barangay officials for keeping their city peaceful and safe despite the current pandemic. He also encourage the cooperation and support of the participants in maintaining the peace and order in their city at all times.

Likewise, Mayor Sotto also complimented the graduates and express his appreciation to the NGO’s and all supporters of the said projects as well as expressed his expectation that the participants would apply what they have learned while on duty.

Further another highlight of the event was the Ceremonial Turn-over of Donations from benevolent benefactors to NCRPO, EPD and Pasig CPS. The donations received were 500 sacks of rice, 260 boxes of Noodles and 17,000 pieces of Face mask. Subsequently, 200 food packs were also distributed to the participants.

Moreover, in his message relayed by PBGEN Baccay, PMGEN Danao congratulated graduates of the P.R.O.T.E.C.T . “ Muli naming binabati ang mga kasama natin na napagtagumpayan ang ating programa. Ito ay isa sa patunay na aming kinikilala ang inyong tungkulin bilang kasangga namin sa pagpapalaganap ng kapayapaan at kaayusan sa komunidad.”

“Nais ko rin pasalamatan ang mga grupong walang sawang sumusuporta at nagbibigay ng mga donasyong makatutulong sa pagpapaigting ng ating kamapanya laban sa terorismo, iligal na droga, kriminalidad at iba pang uri ng kaguluhan. Makaka-asa po kayo ng buong suporta mula sa aming hanay, handang-handa ang NCRPO na kayo ay aming paglingkuran.” PMGEN Danao added.###
