The National Capital Region Police Office invigorated its campaign against the proliferation of illegal drugs in Metro Manila in line with the marching order of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte to intensify the war on drugs in the country.
Following this order, NCRPO has been effectively winning its fight through the arrest of numerous drug suspects and seizure of large quantities of illegal drugs.
Recently, the Northern Police District District Director PBGen Ronaldo YLAGAN reported the seizure of 25 kilos of shabu amounting to 174.7 M, arrest of two drug suspects and rescue of one minor at about 7:30 AM of November 21, 2020 at Block 30, Lot 17, Phase 12, Brgy. 188, Tala, Caloocan City.
This resulted from the intensification of intelligence driven operation which aims to erradicate all forms of illegal drugs and arrest high value drug personalities to curb the proliferation of prohibited drugs in Metro Manila.
Relatedly, the Acting Regional Director, NCRPO PBGEN VICENTE D DANAO JR personally hand over the award of cash incentives to the elements of the Caloocan City Police for a job well done in his office this morning, immediately after the flag raising ceremony .
This is in addition to the PNP award medal which the operatives will receive relative to their invaluable accomplisment.
“One of the ways to boost the morale and inspire our police officers to maintain their momentum in our fight against illegal drugs is to acknowledge their hardwork and reward them accordingly. Hence, I wanted to institutionalize this initiative of giving our personnel an extra monetary reward for their invaluable service, dedication,commitment and indispensable support in our campaign against this dangerous substance.” Said PBGEN DANAO JR.
