NCRPO: 3 – DAY YOUTH LEADERSHIP BOOTCAMP FOR KKDAT/SK CONCLUDED
Another triumphant endeavor was concluded as the National Capital Region Police Office under the strong leadership of PMGEN VICENTE D DANAO JR conducted the 3 – Day Youth Leadership Bootcamp for KKDAT/SK with the theme “D2 KAMI: Droga’y Durugin, Komunismo at Masamang Gawain ay Iwaksi from December 3 – 5, 2021 at Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City.
The 3 – Day Youth Leadership Bootcamp was in partnership with the Brgy. Ibayo – Tipas, Taguig City under the supervision of HON. ERWIN MENDIOLA, Brgy Chairman thru the initiative of HON. ROCKY REYES, SK Chairman Ibayo – Tipas, Taguig/ Vice President KKDAT SPD.
Day one of the said activity focused on “Knowing the Basic”. The participants undergone different lectures including lectures on anti-illegal drugs, anti-terrorism law, ELCAC (E.O. No. 17, s. 2018), CTG youth recruitment and exploitation, knowing the enemy, MBK servant leadership and lectures on KKDAT.
Following day, the participants were taught about liquid hand soap making. This is part of the current livelihood program of Team NCRPO called S.I.B.O.L or “Simula ng Isang Bagong Oportunidad sa Lipunan”.
Consequently, they were also taught some PNP related trainings such as water rescue techniques, firearms safety/proficiency, arresting techniques and arnis, rappelling, first aid training and COVID – 19 response preparedness and motorcycle safety seminar.
Finally, among the highlights of the activity was the community outreach program held at Sitio Bakal, Barangay Silangan, Quezon City on day three. Participants with the Rotary Club, Camp Crame led by Ms Suzette Hernandez, Treasurer and Hon. Rocky Reyes led the gift giving, games, magic show and feeding program. While, RDMU provided covid 19 vaccination to qualified beneficiaries. Afterwards, participants returned to Bicutan and had also the Recitation and Signing of support to ELCAC and Pledge of Commitment before RD DANAO and other guests.
PMGEN DANAO in his message said, “we are very glad that you are here, you are very fortunate that you have experienced this kind of activity. Sana sa mga activities na naranasan ninyo ngayon ay sana we have imparted upon you iyong tinatawag na sense of patriotism. With these activities it definitely developed your sense of discipline, sense of character and sense of patriotism which is good for this country.”
He added, “sana pagdating ninyo sa inyong mga bahay spread the good news. Please spread the news iyong ating naging pagsasamahan dito. Again, I would like to congratulate everyone. This activity will not be possible without the help, cooperation and collaboration of each and every one of us. I know na ang ating pong kabataan ang siyang pag-asa ng ating bayan.” ###
