In line with the intensified campaign of the NCRPO under its current chief, PMGEN VICENTE D DANAO JR against all forms of criminality, illegal drugs and terrorism, a vehicle with illegal drugs was flagged down by the Quezon City Police District Eastwood Police Station 10 led by PLT ALVIN O GRAGASIN at about 1:00 AM of January 5, 2022 along Calle Industria corner Manggahan, Bagumbayan, Quezon City. Per existing operating procedure, the rider was requested to present pertinent documents for verification which revealed that the motorcycle was unregistered and the driver’s license seem falsified.
As a matter of procedure and for the safety of the responding officers and everyone present in the scene, the violator was requested to reveal the contents of his black sling bag while a Traffic Violation Ticket was being prepared to be issued against him.
The voluntary disclosure of the subject revealed the presence of the following items inside his bag :
1. Two packs of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu weighing more or less 150 grams with an estimated DDB value amounting to P1,020,000.00
2. One pc tube pipe containing suspected dried marijuana leaves with fruiting tops
3. Two weighing scale
4. One scissor
5. One 9mm Norinco pistol, chamber loaded with one (1) live ammunition, with inserted magazine containing with 4 live ammos.
6. One unit of yamaha mio with unregistered OR
7. One alleged driver’s license under the name of the suspect
Consequently, the violator was arrested and identified as Anthony Vivero y Salvador, 38 years old.

Binabati ko ang Quezon City Police District sa pamumuno ni PBGEN ANTONIO C YARRA at sa namuno sa paglalatag ng law enforcement checkpoint sa maagap at pagiging bigilante o alerto sa pagtupad ng kanilang tungkulin na nagresulta sa pagkumpiska ng mahigit isang milyong halaga ng droga na kung hindi nasabat ng ating mga otoridad, ilang mga kabataan, pamilya o indibidwal na nman ang mabibiktima/ masisira. Kung kayat hinihikayat ko rin po ang ating mga mamamayan na huwag mag alinlangan na magpadala ng impormasyon upang sa lalong madaling panahon ay matuldukan natin ang salot na ito.” Wika ni PMGEN DANAO JR.
The pieces of drug evidence collected were taken for confirmatory testing in the forensic laboratory while a case for violation of driving without license, RA 9165 and RA 10591 is being prepared against the suspect.###
