In a deliberation chaired by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) at the Cocoon Boutique Hotel, 61 Scout Rallos St., corner Scout Tobias St., Diliman, Quezon City, the Regional Oversight Committee on Barangay Drug Clearing (ROCBDC) composed of provincial representatives of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), the Philippine National Police (PNP), Department of Health (DOH) and local government units issued a certification clearing 19 more barangays in Metro Manila from illegal drug infestation on June 15, 2021.
The nineteen (19) new barangays belong to the jurisdiction of Northern Police District, Manila Police District and Southern Police District respectively with specific area thus:

Prior to declaring that a barangay is drug-free, the Committee on Barangay Drug Clearing must convene and validate the absence of drug supply, drug shipment activity, clandestine laboratory, marijuana farming site, drug den, drug pusher and user and other similar drug related activities pursuant to the parameters set forth by the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) as provided in Section 8, DDB Board Regulation No. 3 Series of 2017, otherwise known as “Strengthening the Implementation of the Barangay Drug-Clearing Program”.
Regional Director, NCRPO PMGEN VICENTE D DANAO JR congratulated his men for the effective implementation of anti-illegal drug campaign and operations in their respective areas of responsibility. He also expressed his gratitude for the support of the LGU and other units concerned which paved way to the success of this endeavor.
“Nagpapasalamat po ako sa walang sawang pagsuporta ng ating Lokal na Pamahalaan, PDEA at iba pang yunit at ahensya ng pamahalaan sa ating kampanya laban sa illegal na droga. Gayundin naman, nagpapasalamat po ako sa tulong ng ating mamamayan sa pagbibigay impormasyon na syang nagiging daan upang makapag latag po tayo ng mga programang direktang reresolba sa problema ng droga sa kanilang lugar. Ang NCRPO po ay hindi mapapagod at hindi magsasawang kumilos at maghain ng mas pinaigting na kampanya laban sa salot na ito hanggang ang buong Kamaynilaan ay maituring na ligtas mula sa pagkalat ng ibat’ibang uri ng mapamerwisyong droga. Utang po naming sa inyong pakikipagtulungan ang tagumpay natin sa labang ito. Hindi po natin ito magagawa ng mag-isa.” Wika ni PMGEN DANAO JR.
