NCR CRIME RATE DOWN TO 14%

NCRPO- Crimes in the Philippines is one of the concerns facing every local, especially those living in the country’s larger urban cities. Maintaining security and order has become more challenging to the police force due to the current health crisis. But because of the continuous campaign of the National Capital Region Police Office under the stewardship of PMGEN VICENTE D DANAO JR in eliminating all forms of criminality and illegal drugs, criminal statistics showed a significant decrease in crime rate.

Base on verified data, crime volume have shown significant decrease comparing from November 10, 2019 – October 26, 2020 to November 10, 2020 – October 26, 2021. A total of 14% decrease in crime volume was recorded.

On the 8 focused crimes : Murder decreased by 22% from 665 to 518. Homicide by 25% from 175 to 132 incidents. Physical injury decreased by 38% from 1,202 to 747. Rape decreased by 1% from 1,019 to 1,004 incidents.

Robbery decreased by 12% from 1,466 incidents to 1,283. Theft decreased by 6% from 3,270 to 3,063 incidents. Carnapping decreased by 17% from 132 to 110 incidents. Motorcycle theft also decreased by 14% from 632 to 542 incidents.

The continuous decrease in the crime volume in the metropolis are attributed to the NCRPO’s intensified implementation of Simultaneous Enhanced Managing Police Operations (EMPO) and Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO).
