MORE THAN 20 MILLION WORTH OF SUSPECTED ILLEGAL DRUGS BUSTED IN TAGUIG DRUG DEN, 10 DRUG SUSPECTS JAILED AND 2 MINORS RESCUED

The National Capital Region Police Office, Chief, PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS applauds the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of Taguig City Police Station, Southern Police District for a successful buy-bust operation which resulted in the apprehension of ten (10) drug suspects and rescue of two 2 minors in Brgy. Ususan, Taguig City at around 5:30 PM of November 4, 2020.

Initial investigation disclosed that the arrested suspects were identified as:

a) Patrick Ace Tiñga y Raquel aka “Ace”, 24 years old and presently residing in Brgy Ususan, Taguig City;

b) Tom Jovy Cruz y Cumagon 30 years and presently residing in Brgy. Ususan, Taguig City;

c) CICL  17 years old and presently residing in  Brgy Ususan, Taguig City;

d) CICL  17 years old and presently residing in  Brgy Ususan, Taguig City;

e) Elmer Bautista y Creo, 34 years old presently residing in Brgy Ususan, Taguig City;

f)  Wenston Ray Lopez y Mariano, 20 years old and presently residing in Brgy Ususan, Taguig City;

g) Jessie Aviles, 24 years old and presently residing in  Brgy. Ususan, Taguig City;

h)  Jomari Lopez y Mariano, 19 years old and presently residing  in Brgy Ususan, Taguig City;

i) Chris Klein Lopena y Ilagan, 19 years old male  and presently residing in  Brgy Ususan, Taguig City;

j)  Adrian Dela Cruz y Reyes, 22 years old male and presently  in Brgy Ususan, Taguig City;

k)  John Paul Esteban y Tagle, 26 years old and presently residing in Brgy Ususan, Taguig City; and

l) John Christian Roxas y Raquel, 34 years old and presently residing in Brgy Ususan, Taguig City.

The arrest ensued after Taguig City SDEU conducted a buy-bust operation at the residence of Patrick Tiñga in Brgy Ususan, Taguig City. During the operation, the operatives confiscated 3 kilos of suspected shabu being packed in smaller sachet ready for disposal. Further probing revealed that the house of Tiñga was also an identified drug den in the area. Along with Patrick, operatives also arrested nine (9) other cohorts and rescued two (2) minors.

Likewise, report showed that the buy-bust is a follow-up operation from the previous arrest of Gezel Wesley Oliveros on May 4, 2020 wherein the operatives recovered 9 kilos of suspected shabu. Since then, the operatives conducted case build-up and surveillance and they were able to confirm that they are all under the same group.

During the operation, the operatives recovered a “blue book” wherein the information about all of the clients and buyers were written. In an interview, Tiñga was able to confirm the source of the illegal drugs. He named the source who facilitates the drugs as Loloy Fernandez, a detainee in BJMP who was previously arrested with the same violation.

Seized from the suspect’s possession are the following pieces of evidence:

a) Thirty (30) pcs of knot tied of large size transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu;

b) Three (3) pieces of knot-tie medium plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu;

c) Fourteen (14) pieces of transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu;

d) Three (3) pieces of digital weighing scale;

e) Two (2) pieces keypad cellular cellphone;

f) One (1) piece eco bag;

g) Eight thousand pesos (PHP 8,000.00) in different denomination recovered money;

h) Twenty seven (27) pieces of transparent sachet containing dried leaves of suspected high grade marijuana;

i) One (1) piece of transparent tube load with dried leaves of suspected marijuana; and

j) Two (2) pieces of Two Hundred (PHP200.00) bill with Dusting Powder From SPD Crime Lab

The marking and inventory of the recovered pieces of evidence were witnessed by Kagawad Nestor Ginez of Barangay Ususan Taguig City and Media Representative Mr. Nolan Ariola of Leader News Philippines.

The confiscated suspected shabu weighs more or less 3 kilos with Standard Drug Price amounting to PHP 20,400,000.00 while the confiscated suspected dried marijuana weighs more or less 41.7 grams with Standard Drug Price amounting to PHP 50,040.00. The recovered pieces of evidence were turned-over to SPD Crime Laboratory for chemical analysis.

The arrested suspects are presently detained at Taguig City Police Station Custodial Facility for proper disposition and pending filing appropriate charges to the court for violation of Sec. 5, Sec. 6 and Sec. 11 Article II of RA 9165 or otherwise known as “Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Acts of 2002.” Meanwhile, the two (2) rescued minors were turned-over to Taguig DSWD.
