LOCAL GOVERNMENT OF MAKATI TURNED-OVER MORE THAN 90 MILLION WORTH OF CAPABILITY EQUIPMENT TO MAKATI CITY POLICE

The Chief of NCRPO, PMGEN DEBOLD M SIINAS attended the Ceremonial Turn-over of Capability Equipment graced by Mayor Marlen-Abigail S Binay on October 27,2020 at Makati City Police Station Headquarters Parking Area, Ayala Avenue Extension corner Yakal St., San Antonio, Makati City.

The said donation is part of Makati Police Force’s Modernization Program which aims to strengthen its capability to maintain peace and order in the city, considering its reputation as the country’s top financial hub.

The turnover of firearms, mobile assets and protective gears will increase the logistical equipment of the men and women of Makati City necessary to further serve the citizens of Makati City.

Among the equipment given are:

Police Firepower and Protective Equipment:
a. One hundred (100) units Assault Riffle Tavor X95 Caliber 5.56mm
b. One hundred (100) units Assault Riffle Galil ACE 21N 5.56mm
c. Three (3) units Sniper Riffle Galil Semi-Automatic 7.62mm
d. Seventy (70) units Meprolight Riffle Scope
e. Forty Five (45) pcs KCI Tactical Gas Mask
f. Thirty- Five (35) units Meprolight Night Vision Scope
g. Three hundred (300) pcs spare Magazine for Caliber 5.56mm
h. Two (2) units Dillion Precision Reloading Machines
i. Ten (10) Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus

Mobility Equipment:
a. Two (2) units Toyota Hi-Lux FB Type
b. Twenty (20) units YAMAHA NMAX

Relatively, the Makati City Police personnel also received protective gears on September 2020 from the Local government which includes 3,390 pairs of combat shoes, 3,571 pairs of patrol shoes, 1,488 holster with rig, 691 sets of athletic uniforms, 2,142 handcuffs, 1,339 belts, and 1,116 PNP ball caps.

During the ceremony, Makati Mayor Hon. Marlen-Abigail S Binay assured that she will continuously support the world class policing of Makati cops. “Aside from capability enhancement through equipment, we would also like to invest on the training of our police officers. We will invest on our police to get the best service for Makatizens”, she said.

Meanwhile, PMGEN SINAS said,”these equipment will definitely enhance our capability to perform our duties with zeal of excellence. Our warmest thanks to Makati City for trusting and supporting us in our endeavours. You can be assured that all of these equipment will be maximized to aid in accomplishing our mission to serve and protect the people of Makati.”
