Dialogue and Signing of Peace Covenant with the Muslim Leaders in Caloocan City

In line with the unceasing campaign of National Capital Region Police office in advancing harmony and accord with the Muslim Brothers and Sisters, Regional Director PMGEN VICENTE D DANAO JR. through PBGEN NELSON B BONDOC, District Director, Northern Police District along with PBGEN NELSON B BONDOC, District Director, NPD with PCOL LYNDON A MENCIO, Deputy District Director for Administration; PCOL MILO B PAGTALUNAN, Deputy District Director for Operation; PCOL MARCELO B DAYAG, Chief District Directorial Staff;
PCOL SAMUEL MINA, Chief of Police, Caloocan CPS; PLTCOL PCOL JULIUS CALIMA SURIBEN, Chief, RCADD led the Dialogue and Signing of Peace Covenant with the Muslim Leaders, Team PNP NCRPO, Kaagapay Ko and Info C.A.R.E. sa Barangay Program in Caloocan City held at Glorieta Park, Barangay 188, Tala, North, Caloocan City on February 17, 2021.

The said event focused on the support and commitment of the Muslim Community for a sustainable peace and order between the two organizations. The Muslim Brothers and Sisters promised to denounce any form of evil acts, violence and killings. To be held accountable to their area of responsibility.

Hon. Ma. Eliza Lopez Chan, Barangay Chairman, Brgy. 188, North, Caloocan City with the following Muslim Leaders : Pres. Armando D. Ebus, President of Ebus Mosque, Phase 6 Park 3, Brgy. 178, Camarin, Caloocan City;
Abdulhakim M. Caya, Muslim Leader of Phase 4, Brgy. 176, Bagong Silang, Caloocan City;
Abdulmalic M. Sultan, Muslim Leader of Phase 1, Brgy. 176, Bagong Silang, Caloocan City;
Imam Khalil Assirong, and Imam of Masjid Dahwa, Brgy. 176,. Bagong Silang, Caloocan City also led their Muslim brothers and sisters during the event.

Likewise, other officers present includes: PLTCOL JENNY DC TECSON, Chief, RPIO; PLTCOL FREDDIE T COLICO, AC, DCADD;PMAJ DENNIS A ODTUHAN, Tala Sub-Station 14 Commander; PMAJ ALAN M APA, Sub-Station 11 Commander; PCPT DARWIN T JULIAN, Sub-Station 10 Commander; PLT MEL S SONIEGA, Sub-Station 12 Commander; and PLT ROLANDO T DOMINGO, OIC, CAS, CCPS.

Among the highlights besides the Reading and Signing of Peace Covenant are the Releasing of White Doves and Candle Lighting Activity to signify the union for Nation Building.

In his speech PMGEN DANAO expressed his appreciation to the Muslim Community for accepting the agreement to promote peace and order between NCRPO.

“Hangad ko ang isang pangmatagalan at mabuting relasyon sa inyo sa kabila ng pagkakaiba ng ating mga paniniwala at ideolohiya. Hindi matatawaran ang inyong naiambag sa pagpapanatili ng kapayapaang tinatamasa nating lahat sa ngayon sa buong kamaynilaan,” PMGEN DANAO said.###
