The Chief of the National Capital Region Police Office, PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS and Team NCRPO have been consistent in reaching out to the community even before the pandemic crisis. His leadership and compassion have been the inspiration of his men to help others as well.
Due to global pandemic brought by COVID-19, few activities were temporarily suspended, limitations were imposed, restrictions were implemented but not RD, NCRPO and NCRPO Crime Laboratory personnel’s caring heart.
Amidst this pandemic, life must go on and so our compassion and love for the people especially the most vulnerable members of our society, the less fortunate, abandoned, neglected and abused children within Metro Manila. In line with this, RCLO-NCR Ad Hoc conceptualized a worthwhile endeavor with a working title “Damhin ang PagmaMahal Sa’yo ng Team NCRPO”.
“Damhin ang PagmaMahal Sa’yo ng Team NCRPO” is a program conducted with the support from PMGEN SINAS, on July 10, 2020 @ 9:30 AM. EPDCLO personnel facilitated the distribution of coloring books, crayons, stuffed toys, milk, biscuits, chocolates, candies from Team NCRPO, and other grocery items to Tahanan ng Pagmamahal Childrens Home., Inc. located at No. 45 Dr. Pilapil St., Brgy Sagad, Pasig City. Said donations were received by Ms Fatima Elahe, RSW, Resource Mobilization Officer.
Likewise, QCPDCLO personnel in coordination with Mrs Margie Castro and Dominador Laoyon, Purok Leaders also distributed school supplies & snack packs to the less fortunate children of Barangay Batasan Hills, Quezon City.
Minimum health standard protocols like wearing of face mask, physical distancing and other safety preventive measures were observed during the said activities.
Relatively, the Community Relations Month (PCR) with the theme: “Pinaigting na Ugnayan ng Mamamayan at Pulisya Laban sa Covid-19 Pandemya” is an opportune time to forge stronger ties with the community in crime prevention and public safety activities. Developing a bridge towards a common goal of peaceful community is one of the primary advocacies that the PNP adheres to.
Undoubtedly, Crime Laboratory personnel believe that community-relations is a predominant aspect that connects the police with the people. They are helping people to show that they care and they are also certain that it is the right thing to do.
“I am proud of the selfless initiative of Crimelab personnel towards our community. Their generosity echoes the mantra of the PNP which is to serve and protect. As we face the crisis brought by this CoViD 19 pandemic, camaraderie will serve as our strength to heal as one,” PMGEN SINAS emphasized.
