The Chief of the Philippine National Police, PGEN GUILLERMO LORENZO T ELEAZAR visited the National Capital Region Police Office as he graced the Monday Flag Raising and Awarding Ceremony on October 18, 2021 at Camp Bagong Diwa Bicutan, Taguig City.

Chief PNP was warmly welcomed by PMGEN VICENTE D DANAO Jr and was accorded with an arrival honors.

Among the highlights of the event is the conferment of awards to deserving NCRPO personnel. Thereafter, he talk to the men and women of NCRPO.

The Chief, PNP, in his speech, recalled his stint as the Regional Director in NCR, to which he said the closest to his heart. He lamented that it was in this assignment that he got the first taste of what is like to run the peace and order in the country. It was here in this regional office where he started to dream big about aggressive reforms to further win back the heart and mind of the community.

“Dito sa NCRPO ko napatunayan, na pwede naman palang maisakatuparan ang lahat ng repormang pinapangarap nating lahat para sa ating PNP,” he said.

Furthermore, he formally launched his operational blueprint known as the Intensified Cleanliness Policy (ICP) when he was the Regional Director of NCRPO . ICP was anchored from broken window which says that small problems must be addressed immediately to prevent these small problems from getting worse. The three-pronged program includes cleanliness in the offices; cleanliness in ranks and cleanliness in community. “Maliit palang ang problema, harapin na, itama na. Hanapan ng mga leksyon, ituwid. Para huwag nang hayaang lumaki, manghawa at maging mas malaking problema,” he said.

In the battle against Covid 19, he acknowledged that out of 23,000 NCRPO personnel, 96% are fully vaccinated with the remaining 3% waiting for the second dose and 1% for medical reasons. According to him, NCRPO must be in frontline in protecting themselves because in everyday call of duty, we cannot discount the danger brought by the virus.

Lastly, he expressed his gratitude to the men and women of NCRPO who were with him in his journey. “I am so happy and proud to be back here in NCRPO. Before I end, I would like to thank everyone in NCRPO. Naging malaking bahagi kayo ng aking buhay, ng aking career, hindi ako magiging Chief PNP if not for NCRPO,

I always rely in NCRPO, kung ano ang trabaho na nakikita sa NCRPO, yan ang trabaho ng PNP”. he said.

PGEN ELEAZAR is also scheduled to visit today the Southern Police District, Eastern Police District and Manila Police District and will also talk to the men of the respective police district .###
