In recognition to the heroic deeds of NCRPO personnel, ARD PBGEN Vicente D Danao Jr., together with Commissioner Greco Antonious Beda Banta Belgica, Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission, Guest of Honor and Speaker acknowledged the NCRPO personnel for their acts of heroism during the Celebration of the 27th PNP Ethics Day with this year’s team ” Nagkakaisang Pambansang Pulisya, Sama sama sa Serbisyong Tapat at Marangal Para sa Bayan” and Traditional Monday Flag Raising Ceremony at the NCRPO Grandstand, Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan Taguig City on January 4, 2021.

Among the awardees are
PCOL Gauvin Mel Yamashita Unos, Mandaluyong Chief of Police for his generosity, initiative and swift response following the facebook post of the Jacusalem family on the OFW help page. His immediate action of providing grocery items and other essentials to augment the basic needs of the family in the midst of struggle they have been beset with has earned praises and admiration not only from Jaculasem family but the netizens who saw the good deeds posted on facebook.

PLTCOL Jenny DC Tecson, Chief PIO, NCRPO for her heroic deeds in terms of her community advocacies to increase community awareness and help alleviate the plight of the citizenry by facilitating the conduct of 40 barangay visitations and the distribution of 3, 215 health kits and 3, 445 food packs to 3, 213 beneficiaries from November 10 to December 31, 2020 amidst the pandemic.

PLT Jhon Florence Octavio Alacon and PCpl Jhoelan Smith Felipe Manalo, for their good deeds in providing assistance to a pregnant women who were due to give birth on different dates. Their immediate response to the emergency situation ensured the safety of both mother and child.

Pssg Franklin Del Prado Kho, for his unselfish act done when he personally distributed sacks of rice and boxes of assorted canned goods out of his pocket on December 21, 2020 to the Hijos de Nazareno of Quiapo Church. His action has earned the hearts of the netizens and became an inspiration for others to emulate.

PCpl Karen Lawagey Silverio, for her generosity and selfless act done on May 22, 2020 for giving food and water to a man who was pushing his cart with his child on board during their mobile patrolling along MCarthur Highway, Valenzuela City. Her good deed went on viral on facebook and has garnered 8,690 positive feedbacks, 2,316 shares and 858 positive comments.

PCpl William Salvador Andres, for his initiative and selfless effort in doing commendable act of kindness by providing gasoline to a stranded grab driver named John Alvin Baynosa on April 7, 2020 along Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City. His good deeds went viral on facebook and has garnered 4,800 likes, 296 positive feedbacks and 300 shares.

Pat Angelo Rago Canong for unselfishly rendering assistance to a family involved in a tragic motor vehicle fire incident on December 11, 2020 that occurred along Banawe St., Quezon City. His immediate response to the emergency situation has ensured the safety of the family and other motorist.

Pat Junior Guizzagan Limon for his swift response in the rescue operation and evacuation of a number of families whose houses were submerged in flood brought by typhoon “Ulysses” on November 12, 2020 at Estrella heights Subdivision, Barangay Burgos Rodriguez, Rizal. His courageous act has earned praises from the citizenry.

Pat John Dondy Basalo Belardo and Pat Jeremie Aguisanda Mallillin for their good deed on August 7, 2020 in providing assistance without hesitation to an e-tricycle trapped in a flood along Lilac Street corner Olive Street, Marikina City with a pregnant woman on board whose bag of water burst. Their immediate action to evacuate the pregnant woman saved the newborn baby.

PCOL MILO B PAGTACUNAN, DDDO, PCOL SAMUEL V MINA JR, COP Valenzuela CPD; PLTCOL BERNANE IRINCO JR; PLTCOL MELVIN R MONTANTE, PMAJ STEFANIO ANDRENICUS A RABINO; PMAJ TYAN JAY ENORAPA; PCPT MARK PHILIP SIMBORIO ALMEDILLA; PCPT DEO DC CABILDO; PCPT JANSEN OHRELLE F TIGLAO; PMSg Joselito C Valentino; PCpl Jorlan DS Declaro and PCpl Xyron P Pacumbala for their exemplary performance and devotion to duty rendered during the conduct of buy bust operation that resulted to the seizure of more or less 40 kilos of shabu with over all DDB value of Php 272,000,000.00 and 5 kilos and 10 grams of shabu with DDB value of Php 34,680,000.00, reepectively.

Likewise, the Medalya ng Sugatang Magiting was given to PCpl Graham Listana Abigan, for sustaining gunshot wound during an incident that tranapired at about 2:20 pm of December 29,2020 infront of Sub Station 7, Caloocan CPS when he and PCpl Dexter Rey Teves encountered the suspects onboard a motorcycle without helmet. In which instead of abiding a lawful order when flagged down, suddenly drew his gun and fired a shot towards the police officers hitting PCpl Teves in his abdominal that resulted to his untimely death.

PBGEN Danao emphasized that the benevolence demonstrated by NCRPO personnel is a manifestation that PNP personnel are always ready to help our people from all walks of life 24/7. “ Ang pinamalas ng ating mga kapulisan ay karapat-dapat na tularan at magsilbing inspirasyon upang lalo pa natin mapaganda ang ugnayan ng kapulisan at mamamayan.” PBGEN Danao added. ###
