Continuing the initiative of Acting Regional Director, NCRPO PBGEN JONNEL C ESTOMO to provide an opportunity to earn among working students and unemployed civilian volunteers, and to keep the camp clean and neat, another round of Clean-up Drive tagged as “*Oplan Linis Kampo*” was conducted inside Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan Taguig City on August 28, 2022.

A total of 25 civilian volunteers including 7 students from Banay, Lower Bicutan, Taguig City, took part in the clean up of the camp under the supervision of their Team Leader, Glenda A Ayson.

Volunteers cut grass, collected dried leaves, segregated garbage accordingly and performed other tasks at the camp’s premises including mini park, infront and back of Regional Headquarters building helipad and Bahay Bulilit.

While inside the camp, they were accompanied by 10 police officers from Camp Management Section (CMS) headed by PEMS Loreto Ubanos Jr. Team leader.

The “Oplan Linis Kampo” aims to help students for the sustenance of their studies and unemployed individuals for their necessary daily expenses on top of the eagerness of the NCRPO Acting Regional Director, PBGEN Estomo, to make Camp Bagong Diwa a semi-tourist and visitor-friendly spot.

Thereafter, they shared over sumptuous meals and refreshments prior to the distribution of monetary consideration.

“We will continue this clean up drive every weekend to sustain not only the cleanliness of the surroundings but also the source of livelihood and allowances of the students and the unemployed beneficiaries. Patuloy po nating palalakasin ang mabuting samahan ng kapulisan at komunidad sa pamamagitan ng mga programang kayang kaya nating pagtulungan ng magkakasama kasabay ng pagtupad natin sa ating mga responsibilidad – gaya ng pagpapanatili ng kalinisan ng ating kapaligiran sapagkata ang pulis ay ‘Makakalikasan’,” he said.
