NCRPO – Police Major General Felipe R Natividad pays homage to the immediate response of Las Piñas City Police resulting in the arrest of a robbery suspect on July 31, 2022 at about 12:20 PM in front of Jollibee, Casimiro intersection, Brgy. Talon Uno, Las Piñas City.

Suspect was identified as Gian Bautista y Mendoza, 37 years old.

Initial report submitted to Regional Headquarters disclosed that police officers were conducting oplan sita along Grandeur, Marcos Alvarez Ave. Talon. There and then, an Indian national appeared and reported to them that he was robbed by one male factor on board with ADV motorcycle color gray and fled towards Alabang-Zapote Road.

Wasting no time, Las Piñas Police Conducted choke point Infront of Jollibee Casirmiro intersection.Thereat, suspect was flagged down for verification, however Mendoza drew his pistol towards the officers. To protect themselves, police officers to shot the suspect on his body.

During crime scene processing recovered from the suspect were one .45 Melinium Taurus pistol loaded with 8 PCs live ammunitions, one Honda ADV color gray w/o plate number, 7 assorted cellular phone, belt bag containing gold necklace, ring, watch, assorted ID and cash money worth Php 45,170.00.

Arrested suspect was rushed to District hospital for medical attention due to the gunshot wounds, however, when transferred to South Superhighway Medical Center, suspect succumbed to death.

“Time is crucial in this kind of situation Thus, I would like to express my commendation the immediate action of our cops as soon as they received the report. Nagpakalat tayo ng maraming pulis upang mayroong agad na malapitan at masumbungan ang ating mga kababayan at maging lahat nang naninirahan sa ating rehiyon. Makakaasa ang lahat na magpapatuloy ang ganito kabilis na aksyon sa mga susunod pang araw,” said PMGEN Natividad.
