*NCRPO: Dialogue, Signing of Peace Covenant and Distribution of Food Packs (Sadaqah) at a Muslim Community in San Juan City*

Anuman ang ating mga paniniwala at relihiyon, ay hindi natin maaalis ang katotohanan na lahat tayo ay bahagi ng iisang komunidad na umaasang magdadala ng pag-asa at kapayapaan sa bawat isa.” Statement of PMGEN Felipe R Natividad, Regional Director, NCRPO conveyed by PBGEN Orlando O Yebra Jr., District Director, Eastern Police District during the conduct of the Dialogue, Signing of Peace Covenant and Distribution of Food Packs (Sadaqah) at a Muslim Community in San Juan City at Masjid Greenhills, Greenhills Shopping Center, San Juan City on July 12, 2022.
The program was initiated by the Office of the Regional Community Affairs and Development Division under the leadership of PCOL Romy I Palgue in coordination with the District Community Affairs and Development Division, and San Juan City Police Station of Eastern Police District with the Rotary Club of New Manila Heights.
The activity is in line with the observation of the 27th Police Community Relations Month Celebration and Feast of Sacrifice (Eid’l Adha) and was spearheaded by PBGEN Orlando O Yebra Jr., District Director, EPD together with Hon. Francisco J Zamora, Mayor, San Juan City; Hon. Jose Warren P Villa, Vice Mayor, San City; Hon. Isabel Marie Zamora, Congresswoman, San Juan City.
Also present during the event are PCOL Elpidio A Ramirez, Chief of Police, San Juan CPS; PLTCOL Reynan V Patam, Chief, DCADD, EPD; PMAJ Buenaventura R Villezca, Assistant Chief, RCADD; PCPT Rodel P Binauhan, C, SPC/Supervisor RCSP, RCADD; other Police Commissioned Officers, Police Non-Commissioned Officers of San Juan CPS and representative from RCADD, NCRPO, DCADD, EPD and SCADS, San Juan CPS.
During the event, Hon. Francisco J Zamora, extended his gratitude and appreciation to the police force and Muslim community in San Juan for their continuous support to the peace and order of the city. “Maraming salamat sa suporta at tiwala. Ganun din ang maayos na samahan at ugnayan ng ating Muslim brothers and sisters. We will continue to live together in peace and harmony.” Mayor Zamora said.
Likewise, PBGEN Yebra also extended his gratitude to the Local Government Officials of San Juan City and Muslim Community Leaders for their Support in the maintenance of peace and order in the city.
Moreover, Aleem Anwar Angine, Grand Imam of Masjid Greenhills shared their insights about the noble intention of initiating the peace covenant and giving of “Sadaqah” to Muslim residents and assured their cooperation as well as full support to the plans and programs of the PNP for the Muslim community to achieve a safer and peaceful community.
Subsequently, PBGEN Yebra together with PLTCOL Patam, PMAJ Villezca distributed 100 food packs (Sadaqah) and IEC materials to the participants. The activity was participated by 100 Muslim brothers and sisters composed of Imams/Ustadz, Bilal, Jama’a, Barangay Officials, Salaam
Police Advocacy Groups Officers, Muslim community leaders from different Muslim Tribes in San Juan City. ###
