*NCRPO: BIN Members, Lauded for Arrest of Four Suspects in Illegal Gambling, Possession of Explosives & Gun Ban*
National Capital Region Police Office Chief, PMGEN Felipe R Natividad appreciated the support and concern of Barangay Information Network (BIN) Agent in the anti-criminality campaign of the NCRPO that lead to the arrest of four suspects for violation of PD 1602-Illegal Gambling (Pusoy) resulting in discovery of more violations at about 8:00PM on July 24, 2022 at Hagville Subdivision along C-6 Rd., Brgy., Hagonoy, Taguig City.
Arrested suspects were identified as; Rocky Jay Macadaan y Eulalio alyas Nonoy, 30 years old, construction worker; Edgar Lopez y Lelalng alyas Dadal, 41 y/o, construction worker; Yahweh Panisal y Nevallo alyas Darwin, 26y/o construction worker; and Isidro Baquiran Jr y Guzman alyas Jun, 50 y/o, driver and a resident of Palar Village, Makati City while three other suspects are residents of Brgy., Hagonoy, Taguig City.
Based on the report, prior to the conduct of operation, PLT Darwin O Salvador, Chief, Intelligence Section of Taguig City Police Station received a telephone call from a BIN agent informing that there are individuals engaging in illegal gambling and one of them was cited with firearm.
Immediately, elements of the Station Intelligence Operatives together with SWAT personnel led by PLT Rustom Nañola with the guidance of PCOL Robert R Baesa, ACOP, TCPS proceeded to verify the veracity of the information. Upon arrival, they saw the suspects actually playing Pusoy. During the procedural search, authorities recovered from Baquiran Jr one unit of cal. 45 pistol ARMSCOR. Further, Baquiran was identified as newly identified member of UTTO Gun for Hire Group.
Confiscated pieces of evidence are: a. Betting money amounting to Php 900.00 composed of two pcs of 100-peso bills; eight pcs of 50-peso bills and15 pcs of 20-peso bills; b. One set playing card; c. One unit cal. 45 pistol ARMSCOR with engrave marking of JHUN B bearing serial number 1192502 marked IGB with chamber load of one live ammunition of cal. 45 inserted on the handle of said firearm one (1) magazine of cal. 45 1 loaded with three (3) live ammunitions of cal. 45; d. One brown leather inside holster e. One (1) rifle grenade; and f. One gray body bag.
Meanwhile, Baquiran will be facing charges for violation of RA 9516 (RA 9516 (Illegal Possession of Explosive) and RA 10591 (Qualified Unlawful Possession of Small Arms and Ammunitions) and Gun Ban in relation to 1st SONA of PBBM) and Gunban in relation to the1st SONA of PBBM. While three other suspects will be charged for violation of PD1602 (Illegal Gambling).
