*NCRPO Partakes in the Celebration of Eid al-Adha 2022*

In commemoration of the celebration of Eid al-Adha 2022, NCRPO, under the helm of its current chief PMGEN FELIPE R NATIVIDAD partakes in the celebration through the distribution of hot meals and food packs (sadaqah) among our Muslim brothers and sisters in various Muslim Communities in Metro Manila.

The feast which began in the evening of July 8 and ended in the evening of July 9, is celebrated by Muslims throughout the world in memory of Prophet Ibrahim’s obedience to the will of Allah when he was ordered to sacrifice his only son. It symbolizes the highest form of obedience and sacrifice to the divine will with full confidence and without any cloud of doubt.

To highlight the event, lambs and goats were sacrificed as an offering in memory of the lamb sacrificed by Prophet Ibrahim in lieu of his son.

“With high regard to the culture and tradition of our Muslim brothers and sisters and in recognition of their indispensable share in our campaign against illegal drugs, terrorism and all forms of criminality, NCRPO partakes in the celebration of the feast of Eid al-Adha 2022 which signifies the ultimate form of sacrifice and obedience in the Muslim Culture. May this simple act of generosity from our part further strengthen our partnership and unity towards the attainment of our common vision of a more peaceful and progressive community where Muslims and other religions alike live in harmony despite diversity of culture, belief and traditions.” Said PMGEN Natividad.

The feast was attended to by leaders and families from various Muslim communities, Officers and Men of NCRPO, together with Senator Robin Padilla – the next Muslim in the senate elected 27 years after Senator Santanina Rasul of Sulu who served from 1987 to 1995.
