The National Capital Region Police Office Chief PMGEN Felipe R Natividad, represented by PBGEN Jose Santiago Hidalgo, Jr. awarded the winners of NCRPO Commanders Challenge on the 8th day of July, 2022 at NCRPO Camp Bagong Diwa Bicutan, Taguig City.

The challenge aims to test, boost and sustain the level of confidence and proficiency of NCRPO leaders/commanders whose skills and abilities were shown undeniably.

Commanders/chiefs of different units regional headquarters, districts, stations, sub-stations and precincts participated in the said activity to showcase their proficiency and mastery of their issued firearms. The challenge was called for to awaken the moral ascendancy and responsibility of the commanders towards their subordinates to be a model in the proper handling of firearms in the performance of duty to avoid unnecessary loss of life due to irresponsible use of firearms.

Upon the conclusion of the competition, awards were granted upon the winners of the different categories, among the awardees were:

PMGEN Felipe R Natividad, Champion for 2 star rank category.

For Star Rank Category, PBGEN Nicolas D Torre III, DRDO was awarded as the champion while PBGEN Remus B Medina, DD QCPD was the 1st runner up; and PBGEN Jose S Hidalgo, Jr was hailed as the 2nd runner up.

For Police Colonel Category, PCOL Rolando M Balasabas, C, RICTM was named the Champion, PCOL Samuel V Mina, COP, Caloocan CPS as the 1st runner up and PCOL Lambert A Suerte, FC, RMFB as the 2nd runner up.

PLTCOL Joseph Francisco B Garcia, deputy, R8 was conferred as the Champion for Police Lieutenant Colonel Category along with PLTCOL Richard Ian T Ang as the category’s 1st runner up and PLTCOL Yahya B Yusup, OIC, DIDMD as the 2nd runner up.

Then, the Champion for Police Major Category was PMAJ Eric Aliño, DLDD, QCPD while the 1st runner up was PMAJ Marcial Paganas, SSC, Parañaque CPS; and the 2nd runner up was PMAJ Jonar P Cardozo, Pasay CPS.

For Police Captain Category, PCPT Romulo D Villanueva, Makati CPS won as the Champion, PCPT Ferdinand D Francisco, SSC Makati CPS was the 1st runner up and PCPT Rosendo Magsipoc, SSC, Fairview PS was awarded as the 2nd runner-up.

Also, the Champion for Lieutenant Category was PLT Rex B Baldovieso, SSC, Project 4 PS, PLT Robert F Kodiamat, SSC4, Las Piñas CPS was the 1st runner up while PLT Leonardo Blanco Jr, SSC2, Masambong PS was named as the 2nd runner up.

Other Special awards were also given to the commanders for their outstanding shooting skills.

PBGEN Remus B Medina championed the Best Commanders Category (RD/DD);

PBGEN Nicolas de Torre was awarded as the Best in Command Group category;

PCOL Rolando M Balasabas was hailed as the Best in RStaff/DStaff category;

PCOL Lambert A Suerte was named as the Champion for Best Force Commander Category;

PCOL Samuel V Mina won as the Best Station Commander category;

PLTCOL Richard Ian T Ang championed in the Best Numbered Station Commander Category;

PMAJ Marcial Paganas was awarded as the Best Sub-Station /PCP Commander category;

and PLTCOL Imelda M Reyes was hailed as the Best Lady Shooter.

The culminating activity of the competition paved the way to unite all the field commanders and was a better opportune time of the regional director to extend them congratulations and gratitude for a concerted effort that led to the success of the PBBM inauguration.

PMGEN Felipe R Natividad congratulated all the winners as well as the participants for proving their skills and abilities in shooting, worthy of emulation. Thereafter, he also enjoined the cooperation of all participants for the security preparations of the upcoming State of the Nation Address of President Ferdinand “Bong-Bong” Marcos Jr. ###
