National Capital Region Police Office Chief, PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS lauds the close coordination of the Kamuning Police Station (PS-10), Quezon City Police District, and Antipolo City Police Station together with PDEA-NCR and Regional Special Operating Unit-Region 4-A which resulted in the apprehension of two (2) male watch listed drug personalities on October 27, 2020 at about 7:00PM in Brgy. San Isidro, Antipolo City, Rizal.
Joint buy-bust operation resulted in the arrest of two (2) male drug
personalities for Violation of Section 5, under Art. II of RA 9165 during the conduct of Metro-wide SEMPO.
Investigation disclosed that the operation stemmed from an information provided by a confidential informant. After confirmation of the report and monitoring the whereabouts and illegal activities of the suspects, police operatives plotted a buy-bust operation, and on the above-mentioned date and time, the suspects were arrested. Prior to the said arrest, drug transaction was originally at a mall in Marikina City but suspects changed the venue to Antipolo City.
Apprehended suspects were identified as: Marc Joshua Vidanes, 24 years old and presently residing at Brgy., San Jose, Antipolo City, and Jhunefel Albay y Mendoza, also known as “Butch”, 22 years old, and resident of San Jose, Antipolo City, Rizal.
Recovered pieces of evidence from the possession and control of the suspects are the following:
1. One (1) piece of color black eco bag containing white plastic sando bag containing undetermined amount of suspected dried marijuana leaves;
2. Buy-bust money one (1) piece of genuine one thousand peso bill incorporated with thirty two (32) pieces of one thousand peso bill boodle money, amounting to Php. 33,000.00, and;
3. One (1) unit of Android cellphone.
Recovered suspected dried marijuana leaves has an estimated weight of more or less 1.5 kilograms with Dangerous Drugs Board value of PHP 180,000.00. While suspects will be presented before the Rizal Prosecutors Office for inquest proceedings for violation of Sec. 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and Sec. 26 (Conspiracy) Art II of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
During and after the arrest, suspects were informed of the nature of their offense and were also apprised of their Constitutional Rights. The markings and inventory of the recovered pieces of evidence during buy-bust operation was witnessed by Bgy. Kag. John Robin G Say of Bgy.
