Gearing for the attainment of a safe, secured, accurate, fair elections 2022, the National Capital Region Police Office under the leadership of PMGEN FELIPE R NATIVIDAD maximized its means, resources and the deployment of its personnel from January 9, 2022, up to May 8, 2022.
While personnel were deployed for COMELEC Checkpoints, NCRPO would never let its guards down in anti-criminality, thus, claimed laurels on the accomplishments of the region.
Records show that from January 9 to May 8, 2022, a total of 27, 444 checkpoints were conducted wherein 20, 468 were from PNP-Comelec while 6,976 were from PNP-AFP. On the other police operations such as search warrant, service of arrest warrants, police patrol responses, oplan bakal and buy bust operations, a total of 1, 016 were conducted from the same period of time. Relatedly, a total of 1,135 were arrested from the said operations.
Meanwhile, a total of 571 firearms were recovered and prevented to be used for possible commission of crimes which includes 392 short firearms, 5 long firearms, and 174 gun replicas, improvised firearms like “sumpak” and “paltik”. Other deadly weapons confiscated summed up to 4, 316 such as 597 bladed/pointed weapon, 8 grenade, 18 explosives and 3,693 ammunitions.
PMGEN FELIPE R NATIVIDAD assures that NCRPO will continue to intensify operations in order to maintain the tranquility in Metro Manila especially on election day. “The most awaited day is about to come and we would like to guarantee that police officers will be on the ground. Sapat ang ating itinalaga na mga pulis sa bawat presinto upang madaling lapitan at hingian ng tulong ng ating mga kababayan,” he said.
